1. After parking, you need to carry your luggage for over 100 meters along a winding path to the hotel. It was raining when I left, and when I asked the front desk for an umbrella, they said they couldn't lend one. The staff wouldn't help carry the luggage to the car. 2. The room is next to the road, and it's very noisy with many cars passing by at night. There are no sunshades in the room, so the light is so dim that you have to get up very early. 3. The private hot spring is accessed via a dark and narrow staircase, which felt very dangerous at night. 4. Breakfast was okay, but dinner was bland and tasteless. Given the environment, the staff's service attitude, and the quality of the food, it's not worth the price.

Amazing

It was a very quiet and private ryokan located in Sounzan. The kaiseki set meal was also excellent. The morning breakfast was also a simple home-cooked meal. However, the view from the room was a construction view, which was a bit disappointing.

The rooms and onsen were lovely as well as the lady looking after us. Reception staff made us feel unwelcome. Would not recommend. The onsen, room and meal were amazing. The lady looking after us was lovely. However, the reception staff were rude and unwelcoming. We were not allowed to enter early even though it was raining heavily. They were very strict about timings for meals and check-out.We checked out three minutes late and were treated rudely. They telephoned us repeatedly to leave and escorted us out of the building, which made us feel like criminals. Our shoes were soaked. The hotel’s strict rules made the experience unpleasant despite the otherwise inspiring setting

The room was huge and had a great view. I also really liked that each room had an assigned private onsen, which is not the case for the other ryokans. The service was excellent and the food was amazing, especially the pork boiled in milk broth — I hope they would keep this on the menu FOREVER! I would return there just to eat that again!

Since it was an inn with only 8 rooms, it was quiet and relaxing. The private bath is on the rooftop, and I have used it many times without worrying about the water quality. If I had to say it, I think it would be difficult for elderly people to use because there is a lot of movement using stairs. I was also disappointed that the drink menu and room service alcohol were out of stock. Renovation work starting in December? It is said that it will be in. I would like to use it when it is new.
