The hostel was really clean, and the beds were surprisingly spacious. Every area was spotless. The lady at the front desk was super friendly; we chatted a lot, and she even helped me plan my itinerary. She even said goodnight to me when she saw me still in the kitchen in the evening. A really great experience! 👍

Cozy guesthouse in Hakone, ideal for couples or to travel alone. Comfy matress and bedding and facilities are very clean too. Friendly owners and staff. Highly recommended, would visit again :-)

Nice location, cheap

I chose this hotel because of its price and proximity to the station, but it was even more comfortable than I expected. The staff were friendly, I was allowed to bring my towels into the hot springs, and the beds and shared showers were well-cleaned. Overall, it was a great stay!

The receptionist was very friendly and offered itinerary suggestions. The hotel is conveniently located near the station, but there's an uphill section, so pushing luggage around can be a bit difficult.

A unique place. It's a small box, and while it's not far to anywhere in Hakone, it's a steep climb to the hotel. The hot water taps are a bit odd. The girl at reception is very friendly and speaks excellent English, and explains everything in detail. I asked to reserve a hot spring, and she agreed without any problem (everything was booked in the end).

Quiet, safe, and clean. It was so quiet all night I only heard barefoot footsteps around 5:30 am. The cleanliness is comparable to Hanting Hotels in China. It's about a 12-minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Note that they provided two sheets, one for the bed and one for use as a duvet cover. The receptionist spoke fluent English and gave a brief introduction to the surrounding area.

Facilities: Outdated Cleanliness: Meets standards Environment: Actually very good, with a great atmosphere. The beds are the largest I've ever stayed in; four people could easily sleep in one. Service: Average. You can ask someone to help with your luggage, but it's a bit awkward to ask female staff for help. Most things are self-service, but there's a kitchen available, and you can also order food from the restaurant.

I got off at Hakone-Yumoto Station and walked to the hotel, enjoying the night view along the way. The hotel owners were two young people who were very friendly. I ordered a plate of fried noodles for dinner, which they made very well. They also gave me a local tourist route map and marked it up.

This is my second time in Hakone, and I've stayed here again. It's as good as ever, I love it.

Easy to find, Service: Excellent

The hotel is located on a mountain in Yumoto, Hakone Onsen. I booked a basic backpacker accommodation for less than 300 yuan per cubicle. Many Westerners stayed here. The shared toilets and showers were very clean. Booking the onsen here was very affordable, and the onsen bathing facilities were also quite good.
