The owner (or manager?) was really nice; they proactively reached out and offered services, and responded instantly online. The hotel is a bit off the beaten path, but the environment is great. The owner even mentioned in our communication that they could pick up luggage from two different stations first, then pick up guests later. They also offered to drive us to a nearby restaurant for dinner at a specific time (6:30 pm) and to a convenience store (Lawson) at 7:30 pm. There weren't many guests, but the experience was excellent, not diminished by crowds. [Would definitely go back!]

This is one of the best experience I have ever had! A very friendly owner + impeccable service. They offer pick-up drop-off services at togendai and oishishita, and when I asked whether they can drop off the luggage at Gora they said yes!!! Saved me so so much time!! Great room, not the most luxurious but definitely comfy. Be aware there is no private showers though. But needless to say, when theres an onsen why would you need a private shower! The onsen is great in a sense that since it's a small hotel, there was rarely anybody. It's almost like a private onsen. The water temperature of the inner one is just right, but the outdoor one, when it's snowing is quite cold. Also, the outdoor onsen had some debris as well. So the quality of the onsen isnt top notch but for the price, it's already way above my expectations. (Also you can see mount fuji as you are enjoying the onsen!) Only downside is the location. When they offer very good pick-up and drop off services, the luggage system from the railway doesn't include this hotel. This forced me to start the trip at togendai (you could ask then to simply pick up your luggage). Not a big problem if I have known this beforehand, but I had to change plans and get on the pirate ship first, so be aware!! Overall. 10/10 experience. Good price, good room, excellent service. Would come again definitely!!

The hotel is located deep in the mountains of Hakone, surrounded by nature, and the views are undeniably beautiful. While it may seem inconvenient at first, the staff were kind and accommodating, especially with flexible shuttle arrangements, which was a positive point. However, this hotel is not suitable for guests with weak legs or mobility issues. The stone steps leading from the parking area to the hotel entrance have no handrails, and carrying large luggage while walking up them can be dangerous. Inside the hotel, there are only stairs as well. The hot spring hours are from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and again from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. On the day I stayed, there didn’t seem to be many guests, so I was lucky enough to enjoy the onsen almost privately. Although there is a dining area, dinner is not provided. There is a shuttle option to nearby restaurants, but this limits flexibility. It is about a 17-minute walk to the area near Togendai where several restaurants are located; however, in winter, most of them are open only for lunch, making it difficult to find a place for dinner. Another issue was that when I tried to use the air conditioner in my room, it had a strong moldy smell and was unusable. Honestly, I feel that I made the wrong choice when selecting this hotel.

The service is superb. The hotel offers pick up and drop off services from hotel to Togendai station or Oishi-shita bus stop whenever we need it. The staff is very friendly and will respond to your request in a few minutes. He showed us the map and advised us the best route to go around Hakone and helped with all the queries we have.  The room is very big. It resembles a condom with 2 and half floors all by yourself. I would say it can easily cater to 4 people.  There are fridge, utensils, plates and even rice cooker in the apartment.  Onsen is available for free but if you want to have it all by yourself, you need to pay 2,000 yen to have it as a private onsen for half an hour.

We loved this experience! After travelling from Tokyo that morning and all around Hakone, we were wrecked by the time we got to the accommodation. The hosts offer free collection from the bottom of the cable car. We text them saying we would be arriving in 10 minutes and they had someone waiting for us. The check in was smooth and the hosts are very accommodating, have good English and will do anything they can to help you. We had a room with a Mt. Fuji view who was on show for a few hours. They then brought us in a shuttle to a nearby restaurant and the restaurant brought us back to the accommodation. The accom was very big for the two of us and we found the beds really comfy. We also got private onsen for 30 mins (available between 10-11pm) for only 2,000 yen. In the morning, they dropped us back (again free) to our bus stop. We loved this whole experience and calm back feeling relaxed and revived. Couldn’t recommend more!
