Absolutely love this place! The staff are very friendly, and the onsen is clean and well-maintained. There are 3 outdoor pools and 2 indoor pools, along with a steam room and sauna, which make for a relaxing experience.
The facility is open for both day trips and overnight stays, but staying overnight is much better for a more chill and leisurely time.
There’s a massage chair available, but it requires payment. Breakfast is also delicious and definitely worth it.
The only downside is the location—it’s not very convenient and requires some walking. If you’re traveling light, it’s manageable. They do have a payable shuttle bus, but the timing isn’t great. Walking can be pleasant if the weather’s nice, or you can opt for a taxi.
Overall, I’ll definitely book this place again for the relaxing atmosphere!
The hotel is next to a river, there’s a garden and 2 waterfall inside. We came in early Nov, the plants in the garden have not turned to autumn color but it’s still very relaxing to have a walk in the garden in the morning. There are yukata of different patterns and size to choose from. Yukata are places in the shelves next to reception and guests help themselves. Remember to take the belt, too . Inside each room, there are two haori for guests to wear outside yukata when it’s getting cold. It’s the first time we try Onsen in Japan and luckily we booked private room so we can adjust the temperature to our liking. Breakfast has many choices and food are good. Overall we have a lovely time in Tensein.

The onsen is great, room is spacious and comfy. Location is a bit far from train station but is reasonable considering it is an onsen hotel.
Location is about 20 mins walk from Hakone Yumoto station. They have a parking lot for hotel guests and also shuttle from train station. Staff cannot speak much English but are very friendly. You need to take off your shoes and lock them in the lockers at entrance because no outside shoes allowed but hotel slippers, which not very convenience but make it a very clean and tidy hotel. Japanese buffet breakfast is included in the room cost and quite a lot of Japanese food choices.
It has a pond garden which is good for morning wandering. It is also a very good Onsen facilitated hotel. You can book a private bath if you want to have Onsen together with your partner. They gave us 2 hotel spending coupons that can offset the booking cost.
The food is ok. But everyday the same not recommended for long staying. Location is not bad. 10-15mins to the main station. There is a bus stop nearby but do take note that the shortcut got a lot stairs….. better do not take baggage. The sound isolation not good. If u are light sleepers reconsidered.

Wonderful onsen hotel, quite a walk from hakone yumoto station but it’s worth it. Got a room by the river, onsen was amazing with men’s onsen in 7th floor and outdoors, buffet spread was delicious especially dinner. Would love to return!

very japanese style but still cater well for foreigners traditional onsen and a reasonable buffet dinner and breakfast would recommend generally however the location is a bit far from train station so better drive or not bring too much luggage
Very good, but the location requires 800 meters to walk, which is a bit inconvenient with a suitcase. The hotel shuttle bus is 200 yen per person. The buffet is also rich. I will choose it next time.

This is a Japanese-style hot spring hotel. It's the first time that I have to take off my shoes when entering the hotel. The whole hotel is very clean. The location is a little bit inside, not far from the big and small train stations. (There is a bus stop at the entrance of the alley) There are also many restaurants nearby. The breakfast is very early (7-8:45), which is reasonable, after all, there are still things to do. There are many choices for the buffet. You can make a reservation for a private hot spring, which is happy and satisfying.

The hotel environment is very nice. The cherry blossoms along the river in front of the door are in full bloom. The mountain view at the back door is matched with the small bridge and flowing water, which makes you feel like you are in a park. The interior is completely a hotel that focuses on hot springs. You have to take off your shoes when you enter the hotel. I didn't pay attention at first, but when I walked to the front desk, I found that no one was wearing shoes. I had to take off my shoes and carry them with me. It was a little embarrassing. The room is the smallest one on this trip. It feels like you are on a kang as soon as you enter the door. It's hard to open the suitcase, but because of the beautiful environment and the rich breakfast and dinner buffet, I don't mind it.
