Lalaca is a quaint, cosy, beautiful accommodation in Gora. We drove but it is also walkable from the train station. We were greeted and served by the most sincere and polite team, and the place was not too crowded during the period I was there. The place was sparkling clean, the beds were comfortable and we love that they were flexible in allowing us to use the onsen privately since occupancy is low. We opted for the kaiseki dinner and the spread was amazing! We enjoyed every single dishes, and our tummies and hearts were soooo full. They lock up the apartment by 11pm as Gora is rather quiet at night, so it felt safe knowing that there won’t be trespassers as night. Will definitely recommend Lalaca!

A wonderful hotel! The dinner was incredible: beautiful, delicious, and filling. We ate everything. Bring something to help your stomach digest. Wagyu, crab claws, and lots of tasty little appetizers. The room was wonderful. Very clean, with a beautiful view from the window. They made our beds for us while we were out for dinner. We slept softly. The onsen is wonderful. There's a shared room with outdoor baths, and there's an indoor room, but you can slide part of the window to get a garden view. After dinner, the rooms switch between men and women. There's also a private onsen, which you can book for half an hour. The entire bath is outdoors, overlooking a small garden. The water is hot and pleasant. Milky. I wasn't feeling well that evening, and the hotel owner personally went to the pharmacy for me to get some medicine. A real treat! I highly recommend it.

Great location, close to the train and funicular stations. There's a very pleasant park nearby, with a teahouse and workshops. I really liked the hotel itself – the atmosphere, the views from the windows, the living room, and the onsen – amazing. The kaiseki is luxurious, with lots of seafood. The onsen is simply lovely. So cozy and quiet. You can spend half an hour in a private one. Perhaps it's better for the hosts to make the welcome tea, because I asked if the tea was wrapped in paper (that's how we pack our tea), and they said yes, just pour water over it. It turned out we'd brewed matcha candy. It's fun, of course, but it would be great to avoid such incidents.

Great view from the hall and from the room, great room itself, as well as dinner and breakfast. Close to the station, easy to get to. I liked everything. The onsen is small, but quite cozy. I recommend it.

It's larger than a family hotel, but smaller than other hotels. There were many Europeans and Americans, as well as locals. There was a Chinese waitress who was very attentive and wonderful. The food was also quite good. 👍 The downsides were the management, which was mediocre. The hotel is located on foot, and I couldn't walk to the nearby bus station, and the management didn't help. Usually, hotels would send a car to pick me up in this situation, but this one was really bad at that. Despite repeated communication, the problem remained unresolved.

An excellent hotel for complete relaxation, the room was huge by Japanese standards in a traditional style, I immersed myself in Japanese culture 😊 And dinner and breakfast were simply amazing, very tasty and very plentiful 😄 In general, if you want to soak in a hot onsen and enjoy the mountains, this hotel is perfect for this!!

Amazing experience. The food was great, the staff was very nice, the onsen was beautiful. There was only one other family in the hotel, so the public onsen almost became private. We were very impressed with the sashimi and wagyu beef dinner. I took off one star for cleanliness, but maybe that was because of the overall "shabby" look of the place (it shows signs of time). Anyway, the atmosphere of the place makes up for it.
