The renovated building is new, clean, and looks great. It's easy to find and very close to the Hakuba Goryu ski resort. The gentleman at the front desk, who might also be the owner, provided excellent service and was very cheerful. The only downside is that there's only one shower room, and some Chinese tourists were noisy and left a mess on the tables. I really feel for the staff who have to clean up after them.

I had such a wonderful stay at this lovely accommodation. The property is charming and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Honestly, the room looked even better than in the photos. Everything was spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable. What impressed me the most was the staff. They were incredibly friendly and genuinely kind, always ready to help with a warm attitude. I drove there myself, and when I woke up in the morning, my car was completely covered in snow, including the windshield and hood. I asked the staff if they had a snow brush I could borrow, and they immediately offered to help me clean it. That level of kindness truly made my day. Another highlight was that the hotel sells malatang, which I absolutely love and it was genuinely delicious! It was such a pleasant surprise to enjoy something I like so much right at the property. The location is also very convenient. It’s within walking distance to night ski, which makes it perfect during ski season. Having a car makes things easier, but even without one, you can easily call an Uber. I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back again. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Hakuba.

Having traveled to nearly 60 countries, this was my first time staying at a hostel, but I was deeply impressed by how accommodating and helpful the management was with guests' needs. It was our first time skiing in Hakuba Village, and even though all the staff at Hakuba Guntetsu were Chinese, they did their utmost to provide the best service to all guests. Though it wasn't our own home, we felt a comfortable sense of ease as if we were. Our feelings and experiences here are hard to sum up in a single sentence. While the hostel's facilities, both soft and hard, weren't exceptional, the management's service attitude left a profound impression on us. We'll be back next January! Many thanks to all the staff at Hakuba Guntetsu.

Just a 10-minute walk from Goryu. After a day of skiing, if you're hungry, they have mala tang. The front desk staff are very welcoming. The drying room is super spacious, and the room itself is also quite roomy – two people can fully open two suitcases without a problem. There are both shared and family bathrooms, and you can also enjoy a hot spring bath.
