Hakuba Downtown Apartments

Our family had an amazing stay at the Views in Hakuba. The accommodations were perfect for our group of six. The main room has a stunning view of the Hakuba mountains - great for pre-skiing stretching or post ski cocktails. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of pots and pans including an hard-working espresso machine. Great setup for those wanting an “early out” on powder days. While the apartment was great, the real jewels of our visit were our hosts — “Lucky Pete” and Shiho. Pete and Shiho were wonderful hosts helping with virtually all aspects of our visit. Need a taxi? Need a restaurant? Ask Pete or Shiho…they’ve got the local insight and did not disappoint. Fantastic stay— we will back…

Where to start...? First off this review is 6 months late. We travelled to Hakuba end of Jan 2024, family of 4, kids aged 8 and 6. At every step of the way Pete and Shiho were incredibly helpful, informative and knowledgeable. Being our first overseas holiday with children, we were nervous but Pete's help with information really smoothed the journey. Whilst Pete was amazing, it should be said that the apartment itself was incredible. The apartment we stayed in (D from memory) had a beautiful view of the mountains. The amenities were modern, and spacious, giving us room to spread out as a family. The heated flooring was an added bonus. Additionally the property is well located, walking distance to Hakuba train station, home to some of the best coffee we had. Whilst not walking distance to the slopes, the Hakuba train station has numerous bus stops, making access easy. There is also a great traditional onsen that is only a moderate work from the apartment. There is local supermarket around the corner as well as a number of restaurants, enabling you to either self cater in the well equipped kitchen or dine out.
