Due to tight schedule, I cancelled my plan to go to Baima. Shortly after placing the order, I negotiated with the hotel whether I could cancel it (there were still nearly three weeks before check-in), but the hotel refused to consider it. I then sent an email to ask if I could reschedule my check-in, but the hotel did not respond. Although the order was indeed non-cancellable, the hotel's response attitude throughout the process was very uncomfortable.

The room should be considered large in Baima Village. It is very comfortable for a family to live in. The overall style is very retro. It can be seen that the traditional style is deliberately retained. The breakfast is simple. The only inconvenient thing is that you have to climb stairs. There is no elevator. The guest room is on the second floor. On the first floor, the front desk took the initiative to help carry luggage. The snowboards were stored in a drying room similar to the basement, so it was inconvenient to carry the snowboards.

Great place to stay!!! Hakuba has beautiful Mountain Views and a special feeling about it. The hotel staff was great- esp Maria and I took a yoga class with Yuka- amazing. We ate at Piettros - next to hotel one night - delicious wood fire pizza and sake Negroni. And my new favorite coffee shop is “sounds like cafe” which is down the street. I wish I had done the snow monkey tour but timing was limited so maybe another time! Thank you Shakespeare Hotel!

Very dated and small rooms, there's very little space to unpack. Very rare for Japan, there is no Japanese built-in bidet toilet in the room. The breakfast is quite ordinary. That said the staff are very friendly and helpful and it's in a great location, right on Echolands st.

The room smelt horrible upon our arrival. There were no other rooms available due to the busy ski season. The staff used fans and febreze to try to remedy the situation while we waited in the lobby for a few hours for the room to air out. By the time we were heading to bed the room had aired out a bit but the smell still lingered so we had to sleep with the window open in 25 degree weather. The next day we skied and when we came back around 5 PM the smell was still lingering. We couldn’t bear to spend another night with the smell and they didn’t have another room for us so we had to find accommodation elsewhere. We asked for the second night to be refunded and have still not received any update from the hotel staff. I would give it 0 stars if possible. We paid close to $500 per night to stay in a smelly room and the management did nothing to help remedy the situation.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel located in the middle of Echoland. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, providing a great start to our day. There are two onsite Asian restaurants serving delectable food, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Our room was cozy and impeccably clean, and the atmosphere was wonderfully festive as Christmas approached. The reception staff were extremely helpful and answered all our questions, and the entire staff was friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to have a great time after a day of skiing.
