Pension Syo

Jun is a wonderful host. We were to arrive at 2am and had arranged our arrival via email prior. The communication was quick and easy. Upon arrival Jun was there to welcome and settle us. We stayed 4 nights in total, exceptional clean, great amenities. We enjoyed 1 x breakfast at Pension Syo and had our two adult children join us for a fabulous Italian dinner experience. Family ran, this was an all round great place to stay and in a great location. Jun also dropped us at the train station. Nothing was a hassle.

Biggest thank you to Jun and his wonderful family for hosting myself and my 7 friends The rooms were clean and perfect for what we needed (which says a lot for a group of 8 females), and the heated floors were perfect! They also had the easiest access to all our equipment. The staff were on hand at all times to help us call taxis and get on the right busses so we could continuously get the most out of our time there Their restaurant downstairs was also incredible as well as being so close to many Japanese restaurants and western meals to suits everyone’s taste buds I can not recommend Pension Syo enough for any group, couples or solo travellers. I will definitely be back ! Thank you Jun, Yoko and Hina for making our time in Hakuba one to remember! See you next year!

Highly recommend this place run by a beautiful family! Rooms are cute, clean and cosy with good heating and serviced regularly. Jun, Yoko and Hina went above and beyond with their amazing hospitality and even helped us organise some future travel and transfers. Also Jun is an amazing chef and runs a great Japanese/Italian restaurant in the building. Can’t wait to stay again next time I’m in Hakuba.
