À La Carte Ha Long Bay Hotel

This isn't a hotel, but an apartment. It's quite decent, with a beautiful view of the occasional skyscraper shining at night. There's a comfortable large bed and a washing machine, which was very useful. However, the studio lacked dishes, even though there was a kitchen. We also had to buy our own detergent, shampoo, and shower gel, as the owners didn't provide any. The area is quiet, still being developed with hotels and townhouses. There's almost no infrastructure. A couple of shops, a coffee shop, and an upscale restaurant. There's an outdoor pool on the roof with a wonderful view, but there's a fee to use it. Overall, the accommodation didn't disappoint.
