Picked this hotel as a modern hotel, but avoiding large costs.
The hotel lived up to what I expected and more.
Reception was very helpful and friendly.
Room was spacious and clean.
Bar and food area was bigger than expected.
Only let down for me was the lack of evening food, only a selection of toasties. Would have been nice to have something more substantial, particularly on arrival.

Outstanding place. A gem. Best location, lovely rooms, close enough to trouble; far enough to feel pergectly safe. A stone‘s throw from Elbphilharmonie and St. Michael‘s.

Was there for a business trip and they had very few irons and no proper ironing board - had to scramble to iron my shirts.

Great location right on a canal and close to public transportation, tourist spots, and great dining options. Wonderful value for the price and felt extremely safe for a solo traveler. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Fantastic hotel with a great location just in between everything you want to see in Hamburg. Room was nice and the bed super comfortable.

Restaurant staff seemed to ignore me, but other staff members were very friendly. My room was a bit cold but I got an extra blanket so problem solved. Beautiful lobby. I liked the interior.

Motel One has been our first choice for many years since they first opened in Germany. This Hamburg location is one of the most beautiful we have enjoyed. Always great service, relaxing atmosphere and cozy rooms.
