I really appreciated this place which is clean and quiet. However, we waited 1 hour before getting our room. And it's just unbearable in 37 degree heat.

This week my partner and I returned from our holiday in Tunisia. We chose the Hammamet Garden hotel and we are very pleased. Beautiful hotel. Above all, the service is professional and very nice. I highly recommend this hotel for relaxation.

Not a 4 start hotel Worst holiday experience ever! Definitely would not return. First of all arrived at Hammamet garden in a large group staffs attitude was horrible. I was handed keys after a long wait no one showed us up to our room was left wondering around in circles eventually the room was found. The room was left in a tip as if someone has just checked out nothing was cleaned. Beds all in a mess rubbish all over the floor was an absolute tip the room. Food wise don’t even start all member of the group we’re left with an upset stomach and diarrhoea. Food was always re used meat/fish uncooked chefs all moody and had really bad attitude as if they are forced to work there. Very limited of choices same food day in and day out the hotel definitely re uses the food in every way possible. Deserts were very warm. Come to get crepes lady was very rude who was serving. hardly any drinks available drinks machine was never working When asking a waiter was fobbed off and never to be seen again. Very hard to get hold of cutlery and glasses for drinking they were very short of these table clothes alway dirty. The head chef was very very rude. Some of the dining staff were very friendly and even admitted to what we are eating is rubbish and recommended some food spots close by to the hotel and made mention of that what we eating is something they will never eat which says it all. We always had to bring food from outside as the food was disastrous. Excursion guys would get annoyed if not booked any activities with them if you go up the road you can find same activities for half the price. Rooms AC never worked was rubbish. Brown water running through shower. Cleaners were cleaning rooms daily they were lovely they are the only ones who actually bother. WiFi was hardly working always had issues connecting. The hotel has its own beach Somedays a minibus will be there to take you down to the beach some days it’s no where to be seen. Come to the beach it’s dirty rubbish everywhere when you go the hotel side you can only sit on a few sun beds which were very dirty no mats on sun beds you can only sit on one side. Sun beds were filthy and covered in wet sand. Staff come and moved me off as they claimed one side it’s not part of the hotel. I will have to stop there as I could just go on how terrible this is I will let the pictures do the justice! Overall experience would definitely not recommend hotels filthy, very old deco, smells of sewage all the time definitely not a 4 star hotel this should be a 1-2 star hotel with the service the hotel provides total disastrous experience and a waste of money a holiday which no one enjoyed! Save your money and do not book here look elsewhere I am talking from experience.

Booked this looking at the reviews however, I was very disappointed. The night we landed, we got to the hotel around 11pm, we were checked in quickly however, we asked for some food and they gave us a plate of veg and some meat with an egg in the middle which was cold and disgusting. Not genuine food. Secondly, throughout my stay, the A.C was not working and when I asked one of the receptionists. they said it won't work at this time of the year. That was a killer for me as the weather for reaching 28 degrees during the day and it was very humid on a night. No fans provided and it was very hard for my kids to sleep as we are not used to this heat due to living in the U.K. Massive disappointment. The breakfast and food was shocking, nothing for brits really, the cereal had no milk to go with, the chefs are always rushing, omelettes were undercooked, chefs are saying there is no more pancake mix remaining so my kids would remain hungry when in fact, there was plenty of pancake mix, the chef just couldn't be bothered to walk back to the kitchen and get it. It was only when I complained to the manager, the mix suddenly turned up. It's not acceptable as I had paid a good amount of money for my weeks stay. The waitering staff were brilliant and one elderly man in particular, made a great family bond with us. The owner or the big manager was a miserable person who never smiled and spoke to his staff like they were slaves didn't go down well with me either. Hammamet overall isn't too good as there's not much to do and not enough for amenities and the choices of food places are nothing like what we have in the U.K. They didn't even have a McDonald's or a KFC so food was a big struggle. We had to travel to Tunis and Sousse and spend the days there so that the kids can eat food that they like. I would not recommed the town or this Resort at all. Please avoid and don't be fooled by the cheap prices.

I've never really been inclined to write a review, but in defence of all the negative reviews, I feel it really necessary to leave a positive review. The staff here work SO HARD to please the customers in the hotel, and they really made our holiday. King Said (haha!) , Muhammed, Elmi, Atef & Angela on the Animation, Also Aminho, Faued & Jedidi really made our holiday special and were sure to include everyone in each activity, without pestering you. The elderly were treated with the utmost respect, helped up and down the stairs, helped with getting their food etc as well as the children who were looked after *incredibly well* by the staff. The food is absolutely fine- something for everyone at breakfast, lunch and dinner- as well as snacks during the day too, usually pancakes and doughnuts. The hotel itself is impeccably clean and in our opinion not outdated at all- you are in Africa not Europe- please don't forget this! We have stayed in other hotels in tunisia much worse than this one! Our room was absolutely massive- separate room for the kids, granted the aircon was a bit iffy, but again you're in Tunisia not Benidorm! There may not be ice creams or crisps (lol) but there is a shop directly across from the hotel - as well as a hotel shop too. We visited during Eid and although the staff should have been celebrating with their families they were serving us - with a smile! I will add that we went at the end of June for 10 nights (with no problem at all!) and it was relatively quiet- the last 3 days (July) did get very busy- but the hotel was clean the entire time as well as the pool - however unruly guests make it hard for staff to keep up! The "sellers" selling trips didn't bother us once after we said no, as well as the spa people. Everyone was incredibly friendly. The animation team were amazing with all of the children and constantly keeping everyone busy. Overall a holiday is what you make it, if you spend all of your time trying to connect to WiFi or complaining- you're not really going to enjoy your holiday are you? The only criticism I do have is the drink situation during busy periods- the first week was absolutely fine but as it got busier the soft drinks machines couldn't keep up. Again due to busy periods. Will visit again, thankyou hammamet garden.

Just got home & firstly WOW. Absolutely amazing holiday. From arrival to departure. The staff were incredibly friendly, from the front desk to the life guards. The entertainment team were brilliant & a real laugh at all the waiters went over and above. The hotel beach was stunning. You can nit pick at little things I'm sure, but I will absolutely be back next year. Thankyou Hammamet Gardens for giving us an amazing holiday. The spa is a must, was the best experience ever!!

Beautiful hotel with amazing staff who spoke English as well as other languages. Helped me book excursions with ease and made me feel very welcome. I will definitely return to the hotel. There is only one thing to complain about and that is the shower flew of the holder when having a shower and there was no plug for the bath. The hotel was very clean.

My time at Hammamet Garden Resort and Spa… was a wonderful experience. Words can’t express how I feel. I didn’t know what to expect considering I went solo. The staff was welcoming and ensured everything single day I stayed went well. From the Boss himself (J’mile) always ensuring my day went well. The staff at reception was so helpful especially Sonia she ensured I was taking care of. She helps me decide what trips I should take.. The Kitchen staff was amazing… scoff was always on time… the guys at front of house always made me feel welcomed and I had enough to eat and drink… The food was always well prepared and attention to detail was spot on good….the ladies who cleaned my room …. always ensured my bed was made everyday even tho I insisted. they made sure I had clean towels and even brought me my own beach towels. The staff at the spa was so welcoming especially Chokri, Derni and Hanen. they made sure I was comfy and got the best of the best at the spa. oh How could I forget my fav bartenders Taher and Achref…. they made sure my moctails was on point… this place made me feel so at home… like I’m already planning my next stay for Summer 2024. The staff they were always so eager to help.

After reading the negative reviews before we left the UK, I truly didn't want to go to this hotel..... having booked in the high season we had no choice to change.... we are a family who make the most of every minute and we definately did this!!We enjoyed the packed days entertainment schedule from darts to aerobics to pool / foam parties in the huge warm pool, we sun bathed on the ample ammont of loungers around the huge pool too. We walked to the beach taking less than 10 minutes, took a swim in the calm sandy waters watching the marine life. We booked originally two trips through the hotel, at what I think we're well below what I would have paid in my head, we did the pirate ship, excellent day out... and the quad bikes to see the amazing sunset.... we enjoyed it that much we paid to go again two nights later back on the quads in the mountains it was so good!!!! Our hotel room for 2 adults and two teens was massive, having a lower floor and a staircase leading to the upper floor both with balconies and all with fantastic new airconditioning units, the brilliant maid and her daughter cleaned our room daily it was spotless.... food, there is only one restaurant for all meals....the chefs couldn't do enough for us though, once we had played charades to explain our family had a sea food allergy, they recognised us at every meal times. I would of truly liked to have tried more of your cuisine but was scared to, at least a picture of what the dish contained would of been helpful. Breakfast was omelets cooked in front of you many meats cheeses cerals and pastries, lunch were rices, meats salads, pizza, dinner was the same but with local dishes too and a dish of the night like paella.... snack in the day was pancakes with chocolate spread. Yes different nationalities do make a massive dash and pile their plates so high and eat hardly anything leaving their tables disgusing, but honesty didn't bother us, we waited for a round an hour after the restaurant had opened and it was so much calmer, fresh food no issues... everyone in the dining room work so hard from the chefs to the waiters.... drinks....well we figured out most of the guests did not drink alcohol..... the beer is good, served on tap not self service, they have had issues with the drinks stations so all soft drinks were serve from bottles... wine was ok, there was a different named cocktail each night, .. ...evening had entertainment it was a merry atmosphere with lots of laughter.... things for the kids and adults. We ventured out the hotel lots to the marina about a 10 mins taxi ride and the merdina about 15 minutes again, where both places have lots to do including eating outlets, markets and things to see. The little mini market shop over the road, bottom of the driveway of the hotel sell ice creams at next to nothing and snacks and drinks, if you need bits... no alcohol though. In a nutshell we had a brilliant time, met some lovely family's, couples and solo travellers from the UK, we s
