The room smelled of urine; had to spray some body spray, and so tired; I had to get past it. I was too tired to ask for another room. The area is sketchy, and I had stopped here once before off I-64 during the day and was put off by the loiters across the street. Booked it online and was specifically trying to avoid this area. My fault. Again, just decided to be brave and roll with it.
In the middle of the night around 03:00am, someone tried to open my door. So thankful I had the big metal bracket slid over. If not, I don’t know if I would be alive at the moment. I was so scared, I didn't move for about an hour.
When I mentioned it to the man at the desk when I left way earlier than I needed…he said maybe they were going into the wrong room. I said not sure, maybe you should check the camera footage if you have any. There was evidence of door jam damage around the area where the lock to the door would be. I also heard two noises. One where someone sounded like they were opening the door and another that banged against the extra protection bar. I should not have heard any of that noise if they had a key and was at the wrong room. Scary as can be. Do not stay here if you are a woman, and alone.
