Very friendly and attentive staff. No English but made due with translator app which worked just fine. Old and dated decor but good location. Was looking forward to four workouts in the gym and the swimming pool while on a business trip. Chose this hotel specifically for its indoor swimming pool and gym. Would have stayed elsewhere in the area otherwise. That said, the pool and gym turned out to be public and couldn't be used at all as there was kids' swimming going on every time I went - tried on 4 separate occasions and every time the gym equipment was occupied by a dozen sleeping or relaxing parents and grandparents playing on their phones while waiting for their kids' swimming lessons to end. I was also told that the treadmills were out of order. The listing on Trip.com should be updated. It shouldn't be listed as a having an indoor hotel pool and gym as it's not only outside and adjacent in a different building with no direct access from the hotel, it's also a public facility and not accessible to hotel guests if swimming lessons are going on.

A great stay. When I first arrived at the hotel, because there was a lot of luggage, the security guard helped push the luggage cart to the hotel front desk. The front desk also arranged for someone to bring it to the hotel. It was impressive, the service was first-class, and the attitude was friendly. The front desk also specially arranged an art suite. Thank you very much. The art suite has one bedroom and one living room with a good city view at night. You can see Raffles City in Vientiane City, but the room is a bit small. The hotel is located in a very nice area. The family suite is nice as it has a large fridge and a washer/dryer. I feel that the place is a bit outdated as the bathtub has these brown stains and the pull down curtains didn’t work in the master bathroom. The floors felt grimy and there was dust in the corners of the rooms. One of the rooms was also missing a blanket , but we called housekeeping for it. The cleanliness can definitely be improved as the space is nice.

Another lovely visit to the famous golden ball! To celebrate my last night in Hangzhou I stayed here, and yet again had a brilliant stay. The staff were kind and welcoming, surprising me with a room upgrade, bottle of red wine and beautiful tea set as a gift because they knew it was my last night! Room was large and clean, albeit the furniture is a bit dated - but the service makes up for this. A beautiful big bath (with a TV) and powerful shower. The bathroom was so big it felt a bit of a maze! Excellent selection of English TV and on demands films available, and a great room service menu - including vegan dishes - which is very rare in China! Staff speak English very well, and I hope when the Asian Games happen later in the year that this is the hotel of choice for foreign guests! A special mention to Benjamin and Mandy who helped check me in - they were fantastic!

It is very convenient to take a taxi to get anywhere. The room is large and the price-performance ratio is good. The hygiene is acceptable and the details need to be further improved. Overall, I am very satisfied, especially the service attitude of the guy at the front desk is impeccable. The breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Li Bai Restaurant in the hotel were also delicious, so I canceled the tour group and continued their stay. Fortunately, I don’t live in the congested section along the West Lake. There is a lot to do in Hangzhou, especially with children. Checking in at various museums is a pleasure. Apart from never wanting to see the ten sights of the West Lake for the second time, I encountered the disgusting dry toilets and the terrible environment of the cruise ship. There are so many scenic spots where you can no longer sit on the bus, there are so many people, cigarette butts are flying everywhere, and the air is polluted... The other destinations in my trip to Hangzhou are fine so far, I like this city very much.
