Service was absolutely top notch, from the check-in staff, the concierge, the room service crew, as you would expect from a proper 5 star hotel. Breakfast had lots of great options for everyone, there was one female cook that didn’t seem to want to hold things for me on the side while I was handling stuff for the wife and baby, but the manager took care of it for us, so once again, amazing service. Room was big and well maintained albeit a bit old. Wife insisted that I mentioned the amazing quality of the soap. I’ll say that the bed was a bit too soft for us, but I’m sure others will love that. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so relaxing. Will definitely stay again!!

If you want to be a stone throw away from the West Lake, this is a fantastic place to be. With everything you would want to see right on your doorstep. Our room, although a little dated, was clean and comfortable. I do prefer a firm bed and this was on the soft side. Make sure to bring a USB plug as there were no usb sockets in our room. Also, for a room with a street view rather than a residential building, ask for an odd numbered room. Breakfast selection was great and varied.

Fantastic hotel with great service. We couldnt check-in until after 4 and they gave us an upgrade and bottle of wine. Lovely room, great location and the fitness/spa facilities are wonderful. Highly recommended.

PRO: - Strategic location, by the side of Xihu Lake and there were lots of restaurants and shopping mall behind it. CONS: Considering this is an International Hotel ”Grand Hyatt” - At first, they gave me a room that was not fully furnished (no bath tub and shower door), different than the pict that they advertised. I complained to the manager to give me another room. In the end she transfered me to the fully furnished one, but she seemed annoyed by my complain. - Compared to other Hyatt rooms that I've stayed, this room was the smallest. - Limited selection of breakfast for a 5 stars International hotel. Not worth for the price they charged.

The location is brilliant - right next to the river. The evening view from the window was fantastic. If you're into running, there's a great running path that follows the river. Perfect!!! The staff were VERY friendly and helpful. We got an upgrade when we arrived (although not sure what the upgrade included since the room looked pretty much like what we had booked). The room itself was very clean and the bed was VERY comfortable. The bathroom looked nice at first, but then the shower drain didn't work properly and when checked it was clogged up. The water from the shower kept spilling through to the toilet cabin - the sealing between the two needs checking. The overhead shower didn't look clean and the ceiling in the bathroom was peeling. We had an air purifier in the room (I guess that was the upgrade?) but it kept switching off after a minute. And for some reason the hair drier only worked in the socket next to the window. We were really looking forward to sitting by the pool in the evening, but we were told that we had to pay 1,000 RMB to use that area in the evening. That should have been made clear in the hotel description since one of the reasons we booked this hotel was so we could admire the view in the evening from there. Overall, very happy with the location but the bathroom needs repairs.

Another lovely visit to the famous golden ball! To celebrate my last night in Hangzhou I stayed here, and yet again had a brilliant stay. The staff were kind and welcoming, surprising me with a room upgrade, bottle of red wine and beautiful tea set as a gift because they knew it was my last night! Room was large and clean, albeit the furniture is a bit dated - but the service makes up for this. A beautiful big bath (with a TV) and powerful shower. The bathroom was so big it felt a bit of a maze! Excellent selection of English TV and on demands films available, and a great room service menu - including vegan dishes - which is very rare in China! Staff speak English very well, and I hope when the Asian Games happen later in the year that this is the hotel of choice for foreign guests! A special mention to Benjamin and Mandy who helped check me in - they were fantastic!

i have been to the hot springs three times before but I had never stayed at the hotel. This was my first time. I imagine the receptionist felt a little nervous when faced with two foreigners and maybe she felt shy. However, I found her lack of greeting, not a 你好 or 下午好， a little cold. When she did communicate with us, it was in super fast Mandarin to which I requested 请慢慢说 to no avail. She repeated just as fast twice more. I felt frustrated and then resorted to using a translation app. She called over an English-speaking Indonesian staff member. I don’t have the expectation that people will speak English to me, but I do appreciate slowing down in Mandarin and using simpler language. Hand gestures help a lot also. I wish she had told us the WiFi password, and where to access the hot springs. These are two key pieces of information a receptionist should provide when you check into a hot springs hotel. Our room had plastic flip flops to be worn to the hot springs. My pair had two left feet. When I showed the staff member on the second floor, she was helpful and got me a new pair. The hot springs were lovely, as usual. The buffet breakfast was better than the buffet dinner. The layout of the hotel leaves you walking from building to building. At first it’s confusing, but then it becomes okay.

I booked a loft family room in a hot spring hotel recommended in my book. It was more cost-effective for the whole family. A little accident happened on the way (there were a lot of bugs on the bed). I informed the front desk and they immediately changed my room (and upgraded it). I hope the hotel is hygienic. It's good to go to the hot springs when there aren't many people. Afternoon tea is also provided and there are more varieties. However, when I went there, I almost collected the meal and left after eating a few bites. I paid 168 for breakfast per person. To be honest, it's not worth it. At this price, the cute pet park is just for chickens, ducks and geese. It’s very simple. There are still many grass skaters. It’s 50 yuan. After arriving at the hotel twice, you can call a shuttle bus wherever you go. After you check out, the door post will give you two bottles of drinking water. When you check out, you find that you left something behind. I contacted the hotel and said it would be sent to me, but it has not been sent to me on the third day. I hope it will be sent to me as soon as possible. Overall, it is not bad.

This Hotel is really something special. It has the best location on West Lake and is set in the most beautiful ground. The staff went to extraordinary lengths to make this a fantastic experience. Liu and Chen from the concierge even used their own money to help us take out bikes around the lake and the kitchen prepared a special breakfast for the train.

This hotel is amazing. Far exceeded my expectations. Finally I know what Platinum Diamond Hotel is called. Catering: Jinsha Restaurant is a Michelin-starred restaurant, offering all-you-can-eat golden-breasted pork (pictured below), Jinsha Chicken, Bamboo Soup, and Braised Abalone Pork. Even during the Chinese New Year, we couldn’t even get in line. Fortunately, the hotel gave priority to guests; we were given hawthorn cakes and nine-bend red plums while we were waiting. Breakfast is a buffet with noodles, braised pork, yogurt platter, hot orange juice, and a variety of exquisite snacks. Room: The bathroom is spacious and bright. There is a pack of dried chrysanthemums for bathing next to the bathtub. Shampoo and shower gel are all top brands. As a gift in the room, there is Gongyan Pu'er, which Emperor Qianlong drank. Service: Because it was off-season, the hotel gave children a free breakfast, upgraded the room type, and gave the children a special bear room card. The hotel has an entertainment program for children every half an hour on average. The room is cleaned twice a day, and new fruits are provided each time, which are the best in season. There will also be a night service every day and small cakes will be delivered. Environment: There is a huge yard, an infinity swimming pool, alpine azaleas, pink plum blossoms, a winding corridor, antique buildings, and a water system among them (as shown below). If you happen to happen to be able to see ”Most Reminiscences” on the hotel's large lake ”It's Hangzhou” performance Location: On the edge of the West Lake, you can take a boat directly from the hotel pier to the West Lake Pier. You can reach Yanggong Embankment in ten minutes' walk from the gate. The hotel is also very close to other Michelin restaurants 🍴, such as Jie Xiang Lou… The hotel is so good, I can’t say enough good things about it Highly recommended! ! ! 特別棒！！最近杭州天氣好，突發奇想Staycation，選了這家新開的民宿。是和朋友一起過來的，上山路上風光好，市區開車大概一個小時。老闆娘熱情又細心，給了我們很多周邊遊玩的建議，傍晚去了邊上的森林步道散步，正好看到晚霞！開心！民宿有很多好玩的手作體驗，我做了一把扇子，滿意！還有壁爐，可惜現在沒那麼冷了，所以壁爐沒開。我們玩桌遊、打麻將、唱歌、挖野菜…非常盡興。床很舒服，衞生也搞得仔細，潔癖星人大喜。晚上睡覺沒什麼聲音，睡得很沉很香。特別表揚一下民宿的農家菜，巨巨巨好吃😋為了這口吃的，還想再來！

A very satisfying stay at the hotel. The hotel itself is as beautiful as a painting. The Jiangnan style is full of elegance. The room is luxurious and attentive. The service was very considerate. I was very impressed. Because I was traveling with three elderly people, the hotel upgraded me to a suite. It’s very comfortable and the photos are great. If you have the chance, you’ll want to experience other hotels under the Banyan Tree umbrella.

The environment is good, but the details of the room design need to be improved, such as there is no place to put towels and clothes around the bath. I booked the whole cloth bag villa loft air conditioner was broken and hot. Especially the living room on the first floor had a heavy smell. The guests did not remove the smell before the guests checked in. It was not good to feel it all at once.

Newly renovated. A friend recommended us to stay here. There was still a bit of a smell when we first entered the room. The room was okay. The bathroom was quite large. All windows were closed and not airtight. The service was good. The breakfast was quite satisfactory.
