Another lovely visit to the famous golden ball! To celebrate my last night in Hangzhou I stayed here, and yet again had a brilliant stay. The staff were kind and welcoming, surprising me with a room upgrade, bottle of red wine and beautiful tea set as a gift because they knew it was my last night! Room was large and clean, albeit the furniture is a bit dated - but the service makes up for this. A beautiful big bath (with a TV) and powerful shower. The bathroom was so big it felt a bit of a maze! Excellent selection of English TV and on demands films available, and a great room service menu - including vegan dishes - which is very rare in China! Staff speak English very well, and I hope when the Asian Games happen later in the year that this is the hotel of choice for foreign guests! A special mention to Benjamin and Mandy who helped check me in - they were fantastic!

I guess like all the Conrad hotels it feels a bit like a museum, beautiful but souless. All sharp edges and corporate, it feels like sleeping in an office. Service is what it is, ok but not what i would expect of a conrad. Very little ability to be warm human beings, except the chef, who was leaving for another hotel.

The room is bright and comfortable. There are not many people at breakfast on weekends. The shower has a large volume of water and a suitable temperature. I moved in the last day and stayed at the same hotel as us. They all said that they are better than Marriott. Everyone can rest assured. I have stayed for 4 days and used the laundry dryer in the room. The microwave oven is only 5 minutes away from Vientiane City to eat. In the afternoon, the hotel also sends drinks and snacks to the room every day. Super intimate 👍👍👍👍👍 Next time I will stay for a long time 😜😄😀🌹🌹🌹

Mercure Hotel in Hangzhou is very good for its location, on a top office building with the best view over the new downtown and the river, but is far from a regular 4 star Mercure hotel, and for sure not in line with the Accor Group standards. While the view is perfect, the average service, average (to poor) breakfast, need of some refurbishment, noisy corridors (you could hear everything what your neighbour does in his/her toilet/shower) brings rather an idea of a provincial hotel than a top class venue in the heart of a bustling metropole. The bed is confortable indeed, but baths is small, shower cabin not properly isolated - so you end your shower with water everywhere, toiletries smell like medicine rather than a proper shampoo or shower gel. If you neee a room to sleep over a busy business day and you are resistent to noise before you fall asleep (yes, they do offer earplugs!!), or if you wish to impress a young girl with the view... and then you do not care about noise and water all over, as this will be part of your night... yes, this is your hotel. But if you look for comfort, service (for which Accor Group is famous) and real 4 stars amenities, better find another hotel...

The hotel is located in a very nice area. The family suite is nice as it has a large fridge and a washer/dryer. I feel that the place is a bit outdated as the bathtub has these brown stains and the pull down curtains didn’t work in the master bathroom. The floors felt grimy and there was dust in the corners of the rooms. One of the rooms was also missing a blanket , but we called housekeeping for it. The cleanliness can definitely be improved as the space is nice.
