Mercure Hotel (Hangzhou West Lake)

Taking an evening stroll along West Lake, the sky gradually shifted from light blue to a dusty purple as the lights on the opposite shore flickered on row by row. The water was serene, the reflections drifting apart in the breeze only to gather again. A few people were fishing on the bank, staying so still they looked like figures in a painting. I paused after just a short walk, feeling that on an evening like this, simply resting in the quiet was more than enough. I’m quite particular about cleanliness and usually check the corners and under the bed right after walking into a room—this place was completely free of dust and hair. The towels were spotless white, and the drinking glasses looked brand new. There was no unpleasant odor from the bathroom drain, and the shower glass was crystal clear. It was obvious that the housekeeping staff put real care into their work, which was a huge plus for me.

During the National Day holiday, I visited Hangzhou, a true paradise on Earth, and stayed at Mercure Hangzhou West Lake. The experience was absolutely fantastic! The beauty of West Lake changes with the seasons, and during the National Day, it was particularly enchanting. Strolling along the lake, I truly felt the gentle romance of a Jiangnan water town. The hotel's location is truly unbeatable. It's in the heart of the Lakeside central business district, right next to the West Lake scenic area. This made it incredibly convenient for dining, entertainment, shopping, and sightseeing, greatly enhancing my travel experience. The hotel's overall environment was elegant and clean, with a strong National Day atmosphere that felt both cozy and healing. The service team was professional and attentive, providing warm and thoughtful service throughout my stay. Their response time was very quick, and their attention to detail was particularly heartwarming. They even thoughtfully prepared a small National Day gift for my child, which was a lovely touch and made my child very happy. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-arranged, offering an excellent living experience. With its high-quality environment, superb location, and warm service, this West Lake trip was made even more perfect by this hotel!

On our first night, my companion and I stayed in a king-size bed room. We both felt itchy but ignored it, enduring the night. The next day, we woke up with rashes, suspecting it was due to the bedding. We informed the front desk, and their compensation was to provide a disposable bedding set and have someone help put it over the existing bedding. They didn't even replace the original sheets and pillowcases! What's worse, when the cleaning lady and manager came to set up the disposable bedding, the new duvet cover and pillows were placed haphazardly on the windowsill, which I'm sure countless people had stepped on. We thought we'd just put up with it for another night, but that night was even itchier, unbearable for both of us. We even saw what looked like bed bugs or some unknown insects on the bed. So, at 2 AM, we went downstairs to the front desk to switch rooms. They moved us to a room on a different floor, which was much better. What exactly are you doing, Mercure Hotel? Can you please clean properly? It was so, so itchy!!!!

I spent a lot of time researching before coming to Hangzhou for the National Day holiday, and finally decided on the Mercure Westlake. It turned out to be the right choice! We spent our days exploring West Lake and returned to the hotel at night. The National Day atmosphere was strong, with festive red lanterns hanging everywhere. The front desk remembered we were traveling with a child and even gave a small toy to our little one, who absolutely loved it. The service was thoughtful, the room was comfortable, and this stay was truly worth it.

During the National Day holiday, our family of three came to Hangzhou. The hotel is right by the lakeside, with West Lake just outside. In the daytime, 'the misty mountains are splendid, rain or shine,' and we had an amazing time. Back at the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised that they gave a small National Day gift to our child, who kept saying this hotel was the best. The National Day atmosphere was strong, the service was excellent, and the experience was truly fulfilling. It's definitely worth another visit.

This location is excellent, right by West Lake and very close to Wulin Night Market and the subway station. Choosing a place near scenic spots means that after a tiring day of exploring, you don't have to worry about how to get back; the hotel is just a short walk away. They offer free use of a washing machine, dryer, and coffee machine. It's clean and tidy. This was the best accommodation experience I've had on a trip.

The front desk staff were kind and gentle, making me feel at ease. The hotel room was simple and practical, with a clean desk and soft lighting, perfect for both work and rest. The bed was comfortable; I slept soundly through the night. The next day, I went to Longjing Village and walked slowly along the tea fields. The air was filled with the fresh scent of tea. I found a local farmhouse restaurant for a meal; the dishes weren't expensive but were fresh. Sitting in the courtyard, basking in the sun, that feeling of relaxation was more effective than a whole day off at home. The front desk service was excellent.

I saw someone online raving about a beautiful sunset spot nearby, so I decided to check it out. By the time I got there, the sky was already starting to change colors. I quickly found a good spot and set up my phone. The sky transformed from an orangey-pink to a deep purple in about twenty minutes. Many people around me were quietly watching, no one spoke. The photos I took don't capture the beauty I saw with my own eyes, but the feeling of being surrounded by that sunset will stay with me for a long time. The bathroom space was larger than I expected, and the shower had great water pressure with hot water coming out in seconds. After a hot bath, I felt completely relaxed. The toilet was smart, with a heated seat, which is a lifesaver on cold days. The rest of the room was also clean, and the bed was comfortable. Overall, I had a very satisfying experience.

Wandering down a street on the weekend, I stumbled upon stalls lining both sides, selling handmade crafts, snacks, and even used books. It wasn't crowded, so I could take my time browsing each stall. I ended up buying a handmade keychain for five yuan – nothing expensive, but every time I use it, it brings back the good feelings from that day. I usually struggle to sleep well in hotels, but this one was surprisingly comfortable. The pillow height was just right, the duvet was light yet warm, and the air conditioning at 26 degrees kept me from feeling hot all night. The best part was the complete lack of noise; I couldn't even hear the elevator. I slept soundly through both nights.
