Taking an evening stroll along West Lake, the sky gradually shifted from light blue to a dusty purple as the lights on the opposite shore flickered on row by row. The water was serene, the reflections drifting apart in the breeze only to gather again. A few people were fishing on the bank, staying so still they looked like figures in a painting. I paused after just a short walk, feeling that on an evening like this, simply resting in the quiet was more than enough. I’m quite particular about cleanliness and usually check the corners and under the bed right after walking into a room—this place was completely free of dust and hair. The towels were spotless white, and the drinking glasses looked brand new. There was no unpleasant odor from the bathroom drain, and the shower glass was crystal clear. It was obvious that the housekeeping staff put real care into their work, which was a huge plus for me.

This made it incredibly convenient for dining, entertainment, shopping, and sightseeing, greatly enhancing my travel experience. The hotel's overall environment was elegant and clean, with a strong National Day atmosphere that felt both cozy and healing. The service team was professional and attentive, providing warm and thoughtful service throughout my stay. Their response time was very quick, and their attention to detail was particularly heartwarming. They even thoughtfully prepared a small National Day gift for my child, which was a lovely touch and made my child very happy. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-arranged, offering an excellent living experience. With its high-quality environment, superb location, and warm service, this West Lake trip was made even more perfect by this hotel!

On our first night, my companion and I stayed in a king-size bed room. We both felt itchy but ignored it, enduring the night. The next day, we woke up with rashes, suspecting it was due to the bedding. We informed the front desk, and their compensation was to provide a disposable bedding set and have someone help put it over the existing bedding. They didn't even replace the original sheets and pillowcases! What's worse, when the cleaning lady and manager came to set up the disposable bedding, the new duvet cover and pillows were placed haphazardly on the windowsill, which I'm sure countless people had stepped on. We thought we'd just put up with it for another night, but that night was even itchier, unbearable for both of us. We even saw what looked like bed bugs or some unknown insects on the bed. So, at 2 AM, we went downstairs to the front desk to switch rooms. They moved us to a room on a different floor, which was much better. What exactly are you doing, Mercure Hotel? Can you please clean properly? It was so, so itchy!!!!

Choosing a place near scenic spots means that after a tiring day of exploring, you don't have to worry about how to get back; the hotel is just a short walk away. They offer free use of a washing machine, dryer, and coffee machine. It's clean and tidy. This was the best accommodation experience I've had on a trip.
