Crystal Hotel Hangzhou West Lake Nanshan Road

The room was excellent, and the location was very convenient for the scenic area. Overall, it was great.

The room maintenance was terrible, and the hygiene was barely acceptable, as shown in the pictures. The soundproofing was particularly bad; I could clearly hear conversations from the next room, people talking in the hallway, and traffic noise from outside. The facilities were even worse: the TV remote was broken – even after changing the batteries, it still wouldn't work. The motion-sensor light on the nightstand kept flickering on all night; it would light up with the slightest noise from next door or when someone spoke outside, flashing on and off constantly. The entire room reeked of smoke, and even the central air conditioning blew out smoky air. The toilet seat was loose, which was really annoying. The shower drain in the bathroom was too slow, so the water would just pool up. I've never stayed in such a terrible Orange Hotel Crystal before! So disappointed! I strongly advise against staying here.

The hotel's location is impeccable, just a 5-minute walk to the lake. It's right next to Qianwang Temple, with the pier close by, making it super convenient to take a boat to the Three Ponds Mirroring the Moon. You can even pop over to the China Academy of Art along the way. This spot is perfect for those who prefer a relaxed travel pace and don't want to rush around, saving a lot of time and energy on commuting. The hotel service was professional and courteous, making the entire stay feel relaxed and comfortable. It was a truly delightful trip to West Lake.

On August 20, 2026, I took my child to Hangzhou and pre-booked the Orange Crystal Hangzhou West Lake Nanshan Road Hotel on Ctrip. We arrived at the hotel at 4 PM, and the front desk staff greeted us warmly. Since I was with my child, the hotel upgraded us directly to a deluxe terrace room, adjusted the breakfast price for the next day, and even gave my child a welcome gift, which made my child very happy. The hotel is very close to West Lake. Since it was my child's first time in Hangzhou, I took them on an evening tour of West Lake. The hotel arranged for a driver to take us directly to the intersection of Nanshan Road and Jiefang Road. Along the way, the driver told us about places to visit in Hangzhou, and upon arrival, he explained how to get to the tourist pier and gave us tips on how to catch a taxi back. Hangzhou left us with an excellent first impression on this trip. After the night tour of West Lake, we returned to the hotel. The room was clean and tidy, with a terrace outside the French windows. Nanshan Road was beyond the terrace, but the soundproofing was excellent, and it wasn't noisy at all. It rained in Hangzhou that night, and staying in the hotel, watching the rain on the terrace outside the window, was truly delightful.

Great location, very convenient for dining. The front desk staff and service were all very enthusiastic. There's also a parking lot, which is handy. Overall, highly recommended.

The room was very clean, and we got a room upgrade. West Lake is just across the street, making the location very convenient. There's a 1314 bus stop right downstairs, and it's close to Hefang Street and Wulin Night Market.

The hotel's location is excellent. It's a five-minute walk to Liuhe Wenying, 20 minutes to Leifeng Pagoda, and very close to Huagang Guanyu. Taking a taxi to Quyuan Fenghe and in77 is also a short ride. The front desk staff are very enthusiastic, and the cleaning aunties always greet you with a smile. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Hangzhou!

The young lady at the front desk was very kind. The original room on the 5th floor had no elevator, so she upgraded us to a room with a terrace on a lower floor with an elevator, which we really appreciated. The lobby and rooms were both very nice and clean. We chose this hotel because my child wanted to visit Jingci Temple, and it was indeed very convenient for getting around, whether by subway, taxi, or bicycle. There were also free drinks in the mini-fridge, as well as coffee and tea bags. When we checked out, she even proactively offered us water for the road. It was a great experience overall.
