Merchant Marco Edgelake Hotel

I usually don't proactively leave reviews unless the experience is truly unbearable! First, let's talk about hygiene. The bedding was unhygienic; on the second day of my stay, I broke out in itchy red spots all over, which makes me suspect there were fleas or mites in the bedding. Next, the facilities. The hotel is very old and run-down. There's no laundry room, no dryer, and no delivery robots. If you order takeout, you have to go downstairs to pick it up yourself. For a king-sized room, they only give you one room card, so if you go downstairs to get your takeout, the power in your room cuts off because the elevator requires a room card to operate. Then there's breakfast. Honestly, it's the worst hotel buffet breakfast I've ever had, hands down. The variety is incredibly limited, the taste is terrible, there's barely anything edible, and you can't even get enough to eat. On top of that, they charge for children over 1.2 meters tall, regardless of age, while other hotels often offer complimentary breakfast for young children. Don't they realize how bad their breakfast is? This policy is also very stingy. Furthermore, the housekeeping staff had a poor attitude, and the overall service at the hotel was mediocre.

The hotel's location is fantastic, just a 10-minute walk from West Lake, with plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options nearby! The room was clean and tidy, the AC worked great, and the breakfast was delicious, offering coffee and fruit. A big thank you to the front desk lady who gave me a free upgrade to a room with a window! I'll definitely stay at the Marco Polo Hotel again if I come back to Hangzhou.

The room was quiet and comfortable, and the sanitation and disinfection were excellent! The location is great, making it super convenient to get anywhere. Excellent value for money! There's a xiaolongbao place and 'Fat Dad' (presumably a restaurant name) right across the street downstairs, which I was very happy about!

The room was very spacious with all the basic amenities. It's super convenient, being close to West Lake and the Intime shopping district. After dinner, we could easily take a stroll by West Lake, aid digestion, and even catch the musical fountain show. There was even a small vegetable patch on the 18th-floor platform where we stayed! The only drawback was the hotel breakfast, which was a bit simplistic.

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to West Lake. This time I booked a 1.35 business twin room. The room was clean, tidy, and hygienic, and the staff were incredibly polite and friendly, always greeting us kindly. The soundproofing was great, so it was very quiet at night, allowing for a peaceful sleep. The breakfast was rich, delicious, and good quality, all for a reasonable price. The hotel also offers a car charter service for tours, with great discounts and extended service hours. This was a lifesaver for us independent travelers with kids! The driver was steady, polite, and patient, accompanying us throughout and providing thoughtful explanations. Thumbs up! My stay at the Marco Polo Lake Hotel this time was truly worth it! I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!

Fantastic lake view room! It was exceptionally clean, and the bathroom felt luxurious. We even got a free upgrade for the other room, which was great service. The location is excellent, making it very convenient for cycling around West Lake.

The front desk lady was incredibly nice and upgraded our room for free. She patiently answered all our questions. All the hotel staff were very friendly and responded quickly to any requests. The hotel is excellent in all aspects. The location is great, close to both the subway and bus stations, and it's very clean. The most pleasant surprise was that the family room had two separate restrooms, which was fantastic. Each room thoughtfully provided two umbrellas, which was a huge convenience for tourists given the on-and-off rain in Hangzhou these past few days.

This is an established four-star hotel. The room amenities are comprehensive, and I was surprised to find a small safe! The decor style is classic but well-maintained and very clean. The king-size bed is comfortable, and both the table lamp and floor lamp create a cozy atmosphere. I noticed a large bee on the wall at night, and a staff member came up to take care of it. It's a shame there's no robot delivery for room service; you have to go to the front desk to pick it up.
