Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Hangzhou

The room was absolutely five-star, and I even got a free upgrade to an Executive King Room, which was fantastic! The cleanliness was satisfactory. The location is superb – just a short stroll to West Lake, and right outside the door is Wulin Night Market, making dining, staying, and sightseeing incredibly convenient. Because it's close to a bustling area, it can be a bit noisy, but that's part of its charm. The service was quite good, though the lobby could get a bit noisy with people coming and going. There were a couple of minor oversights when things got busy, though; I was told there would be a welcome fruit platter when I booked through Ctrip, but it never arrived, even by check-out. It's not a big deal, and I understand. My child really liked it here, though, so I guess we loved the place for their sake!
