Oakwood Residence Hangzhou(West Lake District Huanglong Sports Center ）

had a great stay here. The staff were consistently friendly, and the receptionist Alex stood out, he went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable, answered every question, and handled any issue quickly. Unfortunately, I became sick right before arriving, so my entire six-day trip ended up being spent inside the hotel. But honestly, that wasn’t too bad. The room had 500 English movies and a full kitchen, so I was able to rest comfortably. The hotel is modern, the gym is solid, and overall I really enjoyed my stay. My only criticism is that the hotel should consider adding a food-delivery robot. The elevators are fast, but when you’re sick, getting up and down to pick up food is difficult. Besides that, I’d definitely stay here again.

The moment I checked in, i was greeted with a reception with absolutely no smile on his face. Then the room toilet was mouldy. The cleaning lady told us the mould cant be cleaned when in fact it can be away (reluctant to do the extra mile). The furnishings are old. Lights are all warm lights which made the place extra dim at night. Washer and dryer is located in a toilet behind 2 doors which made no sense. We initially booked 3 nights but immediately revised our booking to 1 night.

Spent 3 nights here while in Hangzhou and booked the 2 bedroom apartment. They offered us free breakfast for the days we are there in exchange for an honest review upon checking out, so here i am. Location wise it's located at EAC, with Watsons, McD and Chagee below with other eateries available. Wife was disappointed that for they do not provide dish washing detergent and upon calling the front desk, was told to request it from house keeping the next day. Other than that, the apartmenr is spacious, had a seperate dryer and washer but somehow the dryer can't dry our clothes even after 1hr, but since it's winter, our clothes dried overnight. Could do better to provide more hangers as well.
