Sisan Resort-Hupao 1934 Hotel

Nestled in the mountains near the Hupao Scenic Area, this hotel offers well-equipped rooms and beautiful scenery. The butler service upon arrival was comprehensive. It's definitely a place I'd happily return to for another staycation!

The environment here is fantastic, nestled close to Hupao Park with incredibly fresh air. The surroundings are so peaceful and comfortable. Inside, the hotel is even more uniquely exquisite – every corner is a picturesque spot, perfect for photos. As for the service, the hotel kindly upgraded our room for free, and the minibar, fruits, and snacks were all complimentary. The toiletries were travel-sized, which you can take with you. We also received a 100 RMB voucher for the Xixi Wetland Yuema Restaurant's afternoon tea cruise. It's quite a good deal if you're planning to go on the cruise. By the way, the Yuema Restaurant at Hupao is absolutely delicious and looks beautiful too!

This summer, I stayed at Xishang Hupao Dongshu, and the summer in the mountains was incredibly comfortable. I booked the 'Dongshu' room type this summer, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The hotel is nestled in the Hupao mountain forest, a charming old Republican-era building from 1934. It's several degrees cooler here than in the city during summer, surrounded by lush greenery and fresh air. The Dongshu room comes with a private courtyard, offering excellent privacy. The air conditioning in the room was strong, and it was especially pleasant to relax with tea in the courtyard at night. The butler service was impeccable. They proactively contacted me before check-in, and upon arrival, warm towels and welcome tea were ready. They were responsive to all my requests throughout my stay. They even provided calming tea for turn-down service and a thoughtful souvenir when I left – the attention to detail was impressive. Breakfast at the Yueya Restaurant was semi-buffet style, exquisite and delicious. If you're looking for a quiet escape from the summer heat by West Lake, Dongshu is an excellent choice. The staff (both male and female) were incredibly helpful. The hotel's location in the mountains meant it was cool and free of mosquitos. Breakfast had a great variety and tasted delicious. We even received a small gift when we checked out. Overall, a really excellent experience!

I've been eyeing this hotel for a long time, and I was so lucky to finally book the Winter Villa I'd been dreaming of. It's incredibly quiet, and the scenery is truly restorative – perfect for someone like me who needs to unwind. I felt so refreshed, both mentally and physically. The room was a little smaller than I expected, but it had everything I needed, plus a lovely little terrace outside. There were fewer mosquitoes than in Xixi, but you still need to be careful about them. Both breakfast and afternoon tea were exquisite. I'll definitely be back to stay again!

The environment here is absolutely stunning, like a sprawling park. The common areas, though not huge, are meticulously maintained, and it's incredibly relaxing to sit there, sip tea, and listen to the rain. The rooms offer breathtaking views right from the window. The design is very well thought out, incorporating a lot of wood and linen elements. If it weren't so difficult to book, I'd stay here every single time I visit! The on-site restaurant is fantastic; not a single dish was a miss. Breakfast is also excellent.

You can tell the hotel management team puts a lot of effort into maintaining and running this place. The overall ambiance and design are kept in excellent condition, and even the cleaning staff exudes professionalism.
