Hangzhou Mandele Homestay

There probably aren't many places where you can be separated from nectar-gathering bees by just a balcony door's glass pane after checking in. Surrounded by mountains, with clouds clinging to the mid-slopes, the villagers live in the hamlet. The hotel is nestled halfway up the mountain, overlooking the entire village. Breakfast is simple and delicious. If you plan to eat dinner outside the hotel, you'll need to go early, as the area isn't overly commercialized yet, and farm-to-table meals are prepared by the villagers themselves. The nearby attractions, though not famous, are worth a stroll. They're just a fifteen-minute drive along a winding mountain road. Friends from Shanghai should definitely come and see this. When visiting Zhejiang, you don't necessarily have to limit yourselves to Anji and Moganshan.

The hotel staff were all incredibly nice; they even gave us tea leaves and dried bamboo shoots when we left. It's a shame I didn't get to swim in their pool this time, but I'll definitely go back. The pool is very clean, and there's a guy who cleans it every night.
