Hangzhou Xingdu Hotel

I booked a 2-night package in advance, and ended up staying for 4 nights. A big thanks to the front desk staff for upgrading me to an executive room on the 17th floor – the view was fantastic! The complimentary coffee was delicious, and everyone's service was excellent. Laundry and pressing service was very convenient, and the cleaning staff on my floor were also very helpful. The room itself showed its age a bit, probably around 8-10 years since the last renovation, but it was well-maintained, clean, and tidy. The bedding was super comfortable, and I slept really well. There were plenty of great food options nearby, which made my 4-day stay incredibly enjoyable. Plus, room service deliveries were super fast, brought right to my door by a robot!

I rarely write long reviews, and I'd say this is my first, mainly because I thought it was really good. Service: The service was excellent. I came on a weekday, so the hotel wasn't too crowded. I was able to check in around noon. The front desk staff was very nice and even gave me a small gift set. Check-in was quite fast. As soon as I got to my room, I noticed the air conditioning was already on, and it met my requests: quiet, not too far in, and with a good view. The cleaning lady on the 13th floor was also very enthusiastic. First, she brought some delicious fruit, then she proactively asked if I needed cleaning and told me I could ask her for anything I needed. Facilities: On the surface, it looks a bit old, but inside it's actually quite nice and thoughtfully maintained. You can tell it's been renovated. The AC worked well and was very cool, though the toilet flush didn't seem very powerful, and the showerhead kept falling off, making it hard to position. The bed was comfortable; I have sensitive skin, and I didn't have any allergic reactions. Environment: The environment is pretty good. There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby. The metro station is about a ten to fifteen-minute walk, which is quite convenient. Getting anywhere takes about twenty to thirty minutes by metro. I recommend taking the metro when visiting Hangzhou, because taxis and buses get incredibly congested, and there are so many people. A twenty-minute trip on the map can easily turn into over an hour. I took five taxis, and all of them got stuck in traffic. Four of the drivers even said that an hour-plus wait was considered a good day. Overall, it was quite good. If I come again, I'd still choose Xingdu!

The room was spacious and clean, and front desk staff Xiao Peng, along with the housekeeping team, were all very polite and helpful. The room also came with complimentary mineral water, fruit, and snacks. We booked for three people, and although it initially only included two breakfasts, they kindly added a third. So far, I haven't found anything negative to report.

I've stayed at the Capital Hotel many times. I really like these established city hotels; they feel so much better than trendy chain hotels. Although the building is a bit old, the interior decor is still impressive. The lobby is spacious and grand, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the facilities are complete. The staff are polite, and customer service was attentive and thorough – they even helped me find a forgotten personal item and mailed it back to me. Thumbs up!

Facilities: The hotel has a complete range of facilities including a restaurant, gym, conference hall, and entertainment options. Cleanliness: The rooms are clean, and the room types are diverse, spacious, and tidy. Environment: Located on Wenhua Road, the hotel offers convenient transportation and is close to West Lake. There's also a night market nearby with great food and entertainment, making the location very convenient. Service: The catering team led by Sister Hai is warm, hospitable, and provides excellent service! The front desk staff are patient and provide thoughtful service, and the floor service aunties take good care of guests.

Although it's called a guesthouse, it's definitely a four-star hotel, and some five-star hotels might not even offer better service than this one. Facilities: The furniture is solid. Many hotels nowadays use bed frames without headboards, but this place has real wooden beds. I usually have to get up three or four times a night to drink water because of a sore throat, but on my first night here, I actually slept straight through until morning. I was genuinely surprised! Hygienics: This is the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. I didn't find any overlooked spots, and the silicone sealant in the bathroom wasn't moldy. I felt comfortable touching everything, which was reassuring when traveling with kids. Environment: The soundproofing is excellent, and the lobby is clean and bright. They even sell jewelry like 18-seed beads, which is a nice touch. There's a subway station, McDonald's, and two bus stops within a five-minute walk downstairs. Service: I truly felt at home! Room service was prompt and thoughtful, and they offer free laundry and drying. The restaurant service was even more enthusiastic. The first time I went, a lovely lady named Xiao Hai asked if I wanted to try their special soup dumplings, beef pancakes, and some kind of scallion pancake – all of which were delicious. It made me feel like I was some kind of important guest 😂. On my last day, she even gave my kids fruit and small toys. This is truly a hotel that makes you regret not finding it sooner – such great value for money. I'll definitely be back on my next trip.

I spent a long time browsing and comparing hotels in Hangzhou online. Xingdu Hotel wasn't my first choice; I was a bit apprehensive after reading some negative reviews from other guests. After much hesitation, I finally decided on it, mainly because its location seemed unbeatable. We arrived in Hangzhou from Suzhou before noon. When we got to the hotel, the front desk staff warmly greeted us and informed us that our room was still being cleaned and would be ready in about half an hour. So, we left our luggage and went out to find a place to eat. When we returned after lunch and got our bags to the room, we were pleasantly surprised: the room was wonderfully cool! Turns out, the staff had thoughtfully turned on the air conditioning for us in advance, and it had been running ever since. This deserves a huge thumbs-up. Coming back to such a refreshing room in this heat was an absolute godsend. The room itself was great too – the decor and amenities were quite good, not at all as bad as some online reviews suggested (at least the room I stayed in was excellent). Plus, the hotel provided complimentary fruit and pastries, and there was free coffee in the lobby. Over the next few days of exploring, the hotel's prime location really shone through. Hangzhou's two crucial subway lines (2 and 19) are just a 5-6 minute walk away. Getting anywhere by subway was incredibly convenient. The hotel even offers a shuttle service to the subway station. Throughout our three-day stay, the hotel's service was also fantastic. They were practically at our beck and call. My child particularly loved the delivery robot that brought our takeout right to our room door, which was super convenient. All in all, this stay exceeded my expectations. Oh, and my child mentioned that the hotel's buffet dinner was amazing too. We unfortunately missed out because we returned late. I'll definitely choose Xingdu Hotel again on my next visit to Hangzhou.

I was very satisfied with the service. I didn't have high expectations, but after checking in, I found the service to be excellent, the room clean, and the breakfast good. Overall, I'm pleased.
