Splendid Star Grand Hotel Hanoi Reviews

Hotel rooms are beautiful, very clean and comfortable bed, especially Manager Ding Dong is super helpful and excellent service. We can ask anything from him to help us in Hanoi and Sapa! Staffs are friendly and helpful too. Breakfast was great, there are staffs will help you cook on the spot when we want to eat scrambled egg or Pho noodles. From hotel we can go to Train Street in 7mins walking distance, around the hotel there are many local food and drink. Many coffee shop to buy gifts for friends. Also you can take photos with beautiful Church. I recommend everyone to book the Splendid Grand Star hotel and experience yourself.

The room condition was good for the price, and the simple breakfast was delicious. I asked for a double bed room, and they changed it for me. All the staff were friendly, especially ANNA, who suddenly took me to the changed pick-up location, called the pick-up vehicle, and waited for the pick-up vehicle to arrive. She was really friendly. Thank you! ^^

Located very near to the Catholic Church. Abit difficult to find at the first place as it is non accessible by car.

Breakfast is good ( buffet) , rooms are clean but old … location is good since it’s near yhe lake but grab/ taxi can’t enter

Clean but not very well maintained. We stayed in room 501 and the door cannot be closed properly without locking as the beam where the latch of the door knob hooks on was worn and only the door lock could latch it in place properly. The seams around the floor of the walls came off too. It's an old hotel but I was expecting a better maintained establishment as we stayed in another hotel few days back and that was better maintained and they both costs around the same price. However, Splendid Grand is located in the central of Old Quarter. The staff were quite good in service, except the one that helped bring your luggage to your room and stood there expecting tips. From a country whereby tips giving is not a normal culture, this is quite weird given the blatant expectation.

Staff are 5 out of 5. The room was disappointing, particularly the bathroom where the interior was very worn and mouldy. Shower was over the toilet..

First time traveling to Vietnam with my wife. Had a great experience about Vietnam culture. The hotel staffs were wonderful especially Kimmie who most of the time attended to our request. Staying in the old quarter was really convenient because most of the tourist attractions were walking distance. Will definitely return to visit Hanoi again.

We stayed wonderful nights at Splendid Star Grand Hotel. The staff helpful and spoke english. Upon arrival in the morning we were warmly welcomed with a fruit plate & drink. Brien, checked us in even though the normal check-in time was 2pm. He then gave a map and gave us a good brief of where to go, restaurants, and answered all our questions. Apart from Brien, Kimmie was also very courteous and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful, and had a wide spread of variety. The location of the hotel is superbly central, and very close to St Joseph Cathedral, and a ten minute to the Hoan Kiem lake, and the famous Train Street. The location served our purpose of exploring Hanoi's Old Quarter. Only misgiving was the crowded narrow lane leading to the hotel in which our airport taxi could not enter. So we had to walk about 70meters. All in, we were very happy with the hotel, and will return

We have been upgraded in bigger rooms with view on the Cathedrale. We'll located near the lake but have a lot of stairs

The hotel is clean and big ! We got upgrade with 2 family rooms. The rooms were clean and big with water and tea. The staff is really helpful and friendly ! They even prepare breakfast box for our departure to the airport (6:30am), that's a nice touch !
