The hotel totally surprised us with a free upgrade to a spacious 3-bedroom apartment! It had everything we needed, including a washer and dryer. The receptionist and bell boy were super friendly and helpful. Checking out was a breeze too.
Just a heads up, the hotel doesn’t provide toothbrush, shaving kit, or cotton pads. You might need to ask the receptionist if you need them.

At this price point; this hotel by far (after 3 different hotels) is the best choice for your hard earned money.
Location: Excellent;
25 seconds walk from lake and close to all the attractions of old town.
Really doesn’t get any better than this.
Room: Everything works.

Many hotels around the area cut corners and make their rooms small and ceilings low to save space which can make you feel claustrophobic after a day or two.

I have never seen such hard working young individuals who have no other intention but to help you have the best stay at this establishment.
(Special shout out) to “Denny” who ran out in the pouring rain to help me find my car ride to the airport because we were running late.
Conclusion;
Stop wasting time reading this review and book this hotel before the rooms are all taken; I was lucky to find a room since they’re mostly always booked.

The hotel is tucked away in an alley, so cars can't drive right up to it. Although there's an elevator, you still have to climb about 5-6 steps to get to the room. The best part is its super close proximity to the cathedral, just a 2-minute walk! In the evenings, the alley fills with people eating, maybe having BBQ? It's lively but not noisy at all.

Great location, right in the middle of the old quarter. Lots of eateries and shops around the area. Very convenient to access and to go all popular places, like the train street, Dong Xuan Market, Hoan Kiem Lake etc. Right beside the hotel, there is a tik tok popular dessert shop.
Hotel staff, Anna and Peter, are professional, helpful and friendly. They will assist you in booking Grab, arrange restaurant reservation. They will guide you where to go for good food and spa too :).
Price is decent and you couldn't be asking for more.

Recommend this hotel! Great clean, large rooms and staff are lovely. Pool is VERY refreshing and breakfast is very varied and delicious.
On another note - I want to say a MASSIVE thank you to the travel service this hotel provides. I have never received such wonderful, prompt communication and we did a 10 day trip (many different excursions) at a very competitive price. Even when there was a hiccup with dates, he staff work tirelessly to rectify - even at 10pm!!! Highly recommend this stay - yes, some night can be slightly noisy but earplugs are provided and we slept soundly. We knew we wanted to stay central and knew the risks of that!

Well it’s a mixed feeling. The communication with staff and checkin was flawless. The room itself does look like on the pictures but it doesn’t feel the same. It’s very photogenic that’s all. It was well cleaned but it’s a pretty run down place. You enter through a dirty shady corridor. The bed linens and towels are in dark grey and brown colors so you can’t really tell if they’re clean. In the morning I woke up to the intense smell of cigarettes that was coming through ventilation. Through a bamboo structure on the ceiling you can see an old and stained concrete. Overall nothing wrong but wouldn’t book it again.

The location is quite good, it’s in old quarter and walking distance to many popular sites, so this is a plus.
The reception people were so nice, they have different people on different shifts, all of them were so friendly and polite.
After we firstly checked in and stayed the first night, the air conditioning in our room stopped working. So we informed the reception and they kindly changed our room.
The breakfast was not too bad. Basic but for the price paid, I can not compliant, there were fresh fruits and a choice of freshly cooked omelette or chicken pho. It is good value for what we paid.
Staff started working very early and they could be loud in the building. I was woken up by them on a few occasions.
On some nights, we had a gecko friend visiting us, we like it, it looks cute and harmless.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, because its value for money and reception people were so friendly and nice.

Chose this place because of good reviews but was disappointing. Ground floor cafeteria smelled of stale urine the first 2 days I was there. Took a rook with window and got scammed as the window faced a wall 2 feet away so it was dark with no natural lighting. I'm OK with the alleyway that other travellers talk about as this is normal for vietnam. Bathtub poorly designed sucu that it kept leaking on floor and caused floor to be wet.

Great hotel well located near the old quarter, but far enough away to avoid excessive noise at night. The facilities, including our room, the gym and the pool, were all excellent. Breakfast was of a very high quality - food was fresh and tasty, and there was a wide variety each day. The service was impeccable - staff were extremely attentive, approachable and friendly.

GGuest UserPerfect little touch for my husband’s birthday. The staffs were accommodating and very professional. Reception was great too. We arrived about 8pm and we didn’t have to wait long before the Check in process was completed, was ushered to a relaxing and comfortable room soon after. The room is spacious and basic amenities was there. I definitely enjoyed the pool but the jacuzzi has not been working for the entire time of my stay. There was no attendant to ask questions too though.
Overall stay was comfortable. Breakfast was great such a lovely spread.

Unfortunately, the breakfast and housekeeping team can be better. Breakfast crew was rude when asked about food offerings and the housekeeping team mistakenly entered the wrong room(s) multiple times. They also make quite a loud of noise by the corridor and disturbed guests staying there since the walls were very thin.

GGuest UserThe staff in this hotel were excellent! From welcoming us with some welcome drinks and fruit, to politely going through our booking details with us (as there was a mix up about payment) and even looking after our bags for a night (as we spent one evening in a village a little way out from Hanoi and returned to the hotel the day after). Of course the rooms, cleanliness and breakfast were also fantastic - and the only reason for rating the location as a 4 is owing to the fact that as it is centrally located in the Old Town, it can get quite noisy at night. In fairness, the hotel accomodated this by ensuring guests were placed in rooms further away from the noisy street (and with double windows), but it is something to bear in mind. We didnt mind of course - you cant expect to be in the midst of it all, and at the same time expect pure silence!

AAnonymous UserThis place is shabby as a whole. The photos are much nicer than the reality. Sheets are stained. I wouldn't say that the breakfast is awful but it isn't good either. The AC works semi decently but makes a lot of random noises. The redeeming points about this place are that the staff are very nice and it is a great location for walking everywhere while still being a quiet place to sleep. I will emphasize though that the reception staff are incredibly kind and helpful and I place no blame on them whatsoever. I would say there is nothing spectacular about this place but nothing truly horrifying either. I decided to switch to another hotel for the same price and I prefer it much more since it comes without any of the negatives listed above.
