An urban oasis in Harare where time stops still amongst the tranquil gardens. Rooms are villa-like with peace and quiet and easy access to to all facilities. Well stocked with plenty of generous amenities. A very peaceful rest. Gardens are inspiring with an abundance of local art and bird life. Breakfast is generous and filling. Your hostess Riana is an absolute delight with so many fascinating stories and tips. We loved our stay at Jacan Gardens - highly recommend for any stay in Harare!

Jacana Gardens is conveniently located in Harare. The guest lodge is very presentable, clean, safe, and perfect for my needs. Stayed in the cottages, which provided the privacy needed for extended stays. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the owners are an absolute pleasure to to deal with. I will definitely be returning in the future.

My sister and I stayed at Jacana Lodge in February 2023 after having visited back in Septmber 2018. We went back because we loved it so much. It is an urban oasis offering beautiful gardens, spacious and immaculately decorated bedrooms, good wifi, friendly staff and the host is so helpful and happy to advise or assist with anything that you're looking for. The gardens and the house feature beautiful African artwork and crafts made by Zimbabwean artists, some really cool stuff. Jacana is located close to Borrowdale village which has an abundance of restaurants, shops, a cinema and some lively bars. We will definately be visiting Jacana again.

This was our second stay at the Lodge after our vacation in Zim last year. This time we´ve stayed there at the beginning and the end of our holiday in Zimbabwe. We´ve booked the standard room, wich was spacious (bathroom too) and immaculately clean. The breakfast consisted of Cereals, Joghurt, Toast, Fruit Salad, Coffee, Tea and and a hot selection, very tasty. Pick up at the airport was on time and very reliable. The grounds of the lodge are very calm and beautiful. We will definitely stay there again, when visting Zimbabwe.

Jacana Gardens is excellent. The hosts make it a true away from home, with thoughtful amenities such as helping with ordering in take-away food, a communal bar and superb breakfast. The staff are wonderful. This is among the top places I have stayed anywhere in the world. It truly is like being in your own house, and the garden is fabulous, with many birds, sculptures and tasteful art throughout the house and grounds. You really can't do better in Harare.

We had the pleasure of staying at Jacana Gardens earlier this year. What a beautiful experience. From the verdant surroundings to the very hospitable owners and friendly staff, made for a great start to our time in Harare. We booked the self catering cottage. The lodgings were very comfortable and the amenities well suited to our requirements. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. The location does require that you have a car to get to the shops which are a short drive away. We highly recommend Jacana Gardens to the discerning traveller- you will not be disappointed! And a cup of the freshly brewed Zimbabwean coffee in the mornings at Jacana, is simply a MUST!

14 Jacana Gardens was the Santuary I sought after I checked out of my urban hotel where I had stayed for a week. Jacana is really a home away from home. It is cozy and comfortable, a gem set in a tranquil garden. It is beautifully furnished with a rustic appealing look and wonderful art pieces. Riana the host is wonderful, catering to my every need. The bedrooms are colourfully done with nice showers. I just loved my 7 stay there and made my first visit to Zimbabwe all the more memorable.

After spending a week in downtown Harare, it was time to look for a place like home. It was my first time visiting this beautiful country and I found a beautiful haven of peace at the Jacana Gardens - which more than met expectations - for 7 memorable nights. The home is warm and cozy, exactly what I was looking for. Inviting gardens and lounge area. Lovely breakfast and other meals on order. Riana is a wonderful host who has decorated the guest house and gardens with lovely pieces that make visiting Zimbabwe so memorable.

Family Reunion in Zimbabwe post pandemic lockdowns etc. Jacana was our Harare base and what a base it was! So homely, safe and peaceful. Amazing hospitality from Rian and her staff. Very accommodating of our needs. Good chats and laughs with the host :-) The Feng Shui of the main house is inspiring. The brilliant art work all over the lodge showcases the talent of the Zimbabwean artists. The beautiful landscaped gardens uplifting. We would highly recommend Jacana Gardens Guest Lodge and we look forward to returning.
