When I came to Harbin again this year, I chose the Grand Gongguan 1903 Hotel. When I checked in, a handsome guy with a very nice attitude saw me bringing an old man and two children with him, and he even offered to give us a breakfast. The feeling of staying here this time is still very good. The waiters will meet all our needs. Many of the previous reviews confirmed. We arrived late at night but were able to check in easily. The location was spectacular near many coffee shops and Russian restaurants. We even stumbled upon a nearby karaoke bar on the pedestrian street! It is near enough to walk to the Sophia Cathedral (which is seemingly closed). Ice and Snow World is far enough to need a car but close enough that it’s a quick ride. After hours of touring in the cold, the heated floors were much appreciated. The bathtub was also very nice.

Everything is very good!!! The concierge at the door was warm and polite and took the initiative to help us pick up the boxes and press the elevator to leave. He also helped us carry the boxes when we left. The service attitude was really hard to fault! The hotel front desk staff answered all questions and was very enthusiastic when we left. I was also given Russian chocolate, which was a great experience! ! The dessert table covers a long time, and there are all kinds of coffee, desserts and fruits. The hotel environment is clean and tidy, and the facilities are advanced and novel. All aspects of the hotel have been unanimously recognized by family and friends. In General this was a good hotel. And some of the staff were so helpful and friendly! But what wasn’t clear for us, is that it’s a hotel where people are allowed to smoke everywhere, also in the bathroom for example. There is apparently a non smoking floor which we didn’t know when we booked. But everything else was good :)

The location and hotel neighbourhood was nice. It is a walking distance to St. Sophia Church. Room was clean and housekeeping was doing so well. The staff was not english spoken, but they are helpfull. We choose a room without window and it is a bit dark. If i am travelling again, i will choose the room with window. There are XueXiang Tour & Travel Office near the lobby. In case you need to find a tour to xue xiang.

Had to wait for the second room to be ready but we came before 3pm. Room had two skylight windows. Wanted to upgrade rooms but hotel was full. Stayed 2 nights, 2 bedrooms. Location was fantastic. Kevin, the duty manager, was particularity very accommodating and helpful. He helped us with our luggage during the busy period. The breakfast spread was good. Gym was small with two treadmill machines and one all-in-one fitness equipment. But no one was there so you got the whole gym to yourself. TV channels were limited. Bathroom amenities were adequate. Overall it's a good stay.

The owner is nice and has a cute pet cat! He let us check in earlier, leave our luggage on our last day as we wait for our train, and gave us free bottled water, all of which we appreciate. We enjoyed our stay! I just wish the owner did not smoke as much, as sometimes we smelled cigarette smoke in the hotel lobby. Other than that, everything is good!
