Excellent hotel right in the heart of Harbin, with a view of Saint Sophia Cathedral. It's clean, spacious, and warm. Highly recommend!

The room was super spacious! I loved it, and the hairdryer was really good, which is very convenient for women. Our butler, Xiao Zhang, was also very patient in helping us with our issues. For example, when we were arriving late, he contacted us in advance to let us know where our room was and important notes. Also, when we had a package delivered, he kindly helped us collect it without any fuss. We're very grateful to him, highly recommend this accommodation! 👍🏻

We booked 7 rooms for 16 people at Doumo Homestay. First, let's talk about the pros: 1. Location: It's on a high floor on the main street of Zhaolin Street, very easy to find. The lobby entrance on the first floor is bright, and taxis can pull up right at the entrance. Facilities: It seems to be a newly opened homestay, as the facilities are very new. The bedding is clean, and the pillows are zero-pressure, which are very comfortable. The washing machine is also spotless and hygienic. The room was so warm that clothes washed the night before were dry by the next day. The living room is also large, and the sofa is very comfortable, perfect for a family chat. Cleanliness: Clean, bright, no issues with hygiene. Service: The homestay manager added me on WeChat a day in advance to send me check-in instructions. On the day of arrival, they sent the homestay password for self-check-in. I didn't see any staff throughout my stay, but they were always quick to respond to questions, which was quite convenient. Environment: It's an apartment building, and the hallways definitely feel old. The staff mentioned the building is 20 years old, but the location is truly excellent. It's literally just a few minutes' walk downstairs to Central Street and St. Sophia Church. For a family trip with kids and elderly, the location is definitely a top priority. The only downside is that the building is very crowded. Every time we took the elevator, it was packed with people, and there were always many people going up and down. This building really has a lot of residents. I'm writing such a detailed review to give other travelers some perspective. If you prioritize a good location, a spacious and bright room, and comfort, then you shouldn't hesitate to book this place. If you prefer quiet, a good elevator experience, and a high-end check-in mode, you might want to consider other options. Pros: Great location, good hygiene, large rooms, high value for money. Cons: Too many people in the elevator, long waits for the elevator.

The room has white floor tiles, and there's no mat at the entrance. In winter, after guests walk in with snow on their shoes, the floor gets dirty. The shower/restroom lacks a dry/wet separation and a floor mat, so after showering, the floor is soaking wet. Moreover, the most critical issue with all guesthouses, and this one is no exception, is elevator usage. After checking out, we waited half an hour for the elevator, which delayed our departure. Being on the eighth floor is an awkward spot; taking the stairs with luggage is impossible. We had to press the elevator button to go up first, then down. Finally, the towels in the room are disposable. While usually considered more hygienic, personally, they didn't meet my needs as they were too thin and didn't dry well. Disposable items are a highlight, but not everyone is used to them. It would be better if guests had the option to choose.
