Reviews of Harbin Sun Island Garden Hotel (Ice and Snow World)

Nice hotel with a broad range of food for breakfast with not only chinese breakfast type but also toast, butter and jam). Nice service and follow-up as well. All the seats in their shuttle from the airport were booked so they offered to pay me back the taxi fees (please note that there is a maximum amount). And when you check-in they will provide a welcome pack with every practical things needed to resist the cold weather in Harbin.

Our stay at this hotel was fantastic! It was just a stone’s throw away from Harbin Ice and Snow World, making it incredibly convenient to visit the attraction. The hotel itself was huge, with spacious and comfortable rooms that made our stay very relaxing. Breakfast was another highlight, offering a wide variety of options, from Western dishes to traditional Chinese food. Overall, a great place to stay!

At first glance it looks beautiful but once you actually walk to your room you’ll notice how old and dirty it is. It smells like cigarettes and there were even construction crew workers smoking in the stairways. Luckily our room did not smell, but had other problems. There were two huge cracks in the front and bathroom door, which didn’t cause an actual problem, but shows that the hotel is old. The bathroom was my biggest grievance. The bath mat was COVERED in mold. Disgusting. There was also hair in the bathtub and in my slipper. The whole time we were there we had the “do not disturb” light on and housekeeping ignored it and woke us up THREE MORNINGS IN A ROW! The only benefit to this place is you can literally walk to Ice and Snow World, but that also means it’s kind of isolated from most other things in the city.

Overall, a nice warm place to come back to after walking in the city or snowboarding all day. Ample choice for breakfast to suit all pallets. Somewhat far from the city centre but worth it if you're looking to leave the buzz at night. However, room 2106's shower could do with some maintenance, water leaks out the base. Besides that minor fault, I had a pleasant stay. Thank you!

The location is perfect, at least for me. There are a few landmarks nearby and I had the opportunity to visit all of them. The hotel is beautiful. My only advice is to have more variety at the buffet; it will be helpful for foreigners, especially for families with kids.

The location is convenient, but they did not clean the cups after service sign was up, so we had to clean it without soap and proper place. Under the bed was really gross, luckily I only saw it after we checked for things before we leave otherwise I would not have walked on the carpet. No fridge. They only give you coffee once doesn’t matter how long you stay. They do refill the tea leaves.

The hotel itself was lovely and the perfect location for walking directly to the Ice Festival. The room was clean and comfortable, and it was so nice to open the windows at night for some cold fresh air. That being said, we had to DiDi into town for food and coffee everyday because there’s not really anything else on the island. Something to consider if you’re traveling to Harbin.

We had a wonderful stay with a hint of luxury in this hotel. Big thank you to the ivening teams at the front desk. We would consider staying here again. Walking distance from the "Snow and Ice World" one of the entrances.

It's a grand hotel but nothing near it. Less staff. You can't find anything. It charges like 5 star, but facilities are less than 3 star.

Great hotel. The temperature was so perfect that I actually forgot that I was in Harbin. The staff is friendly and the room is quite spacious

VERY Impressed. The hotel was fabulous. We loved that it was within easy walking distance of the Ice and Snow World - we even had a view of it from our room. The breakfast was great and we will definitely visit again.
