A hotel with a story, the kids absolutely loved it! I appreciate that they've tried to preserve its original charm and historical presentation. It would be even better if they could maintain and improve it further in the future. Hope to see good upkeep down the line. The location is excellent. The Western restaurant's food was just so-so. If you're looking to try Russian cuisine, the Portman Restaurant behind the hotel is a great recommendation.

This hotel is a well-established five-star in Harbin. I was a bit worried about outdated facilities before checking in, but it was actually very clean. The front desk downstairs isn't huge, but the service is warm and convenient. You can even order takeout, and it's easy to get a taxi or subway to the museum. The experience at the Heilongjiang Museum was fantastic, and every taxi driver was so chatty. All in all, it's a great place for a trip with simple, warm-hearted locals.

The soundproofing in the room was terrible; you could hear every word spoken in the hallway. The bathroom design was incredibly impractical – there's no proper shower, and the showerhead is mounted so high (see picture 1) that you have to hold it the entire time to wash. Switching between the shower and the sink faucet was also a hassle. We called the front desk, but even their staff couldn't figure it out; it took a maintenance person to finally get it working. There were no slippers for the shower either. The facilities are basically hostel-level. There are no charging outlets by the bed, and not even a hairdryer. This place is worse than a 7 Days Inn or Home Inn.

While the historic building could benefit from a slight refresh in some details, the staff were simply excellent — from allowing me to check in much earlier than scheduled to being consistently friendly and understanding. Housekeeping was also top-notch. The room I was upgraded to was very spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The area is well connected, with a nearby metro station and the main train station just a 15-minute walk away. Overall, it was a positive experience.

The hotel is right across from the museum. The front desk staff was very welcoming and allowed us to store our luggage. We were given a double room with a window. Facilities: I absolutely love the pure copper handles and vanity mirror. The quality is fantastic, completely different from the stainless steel tubes you find in other hotels. This hotel has a great vibe with its Russian-style decor. The location is excellent, super close to the train station, shopping malls, and subway. The room was spacious, the TV had clear screen mirroring, and the bedding was comfortable. It's also very close to the train station; after getting off the airport shuttle at the train station, it's about a 10-minute walk. The room was quite nice, and I slept wonderfully. The cleanliness was excellent in all aspects. While it's clear the facilities are a bit older, they've been well-maintained and are in good working order.
