Do not book here. The only positive thing I can say is the location is just by the exit in interstate 95. Other than that, I give it a 0 rating. The worse of the worst. We had to stay overnight only because of the long trip from Florida to Washington DC. Didn’t have a choice but to stay coz we pre paid our stay and we’re too exhausted. Even if the rate was super low, it doesn’t give them the reason to keep this place unkept. Everything in the room were filthy. I took pics to prove. Asked for bathroom tissue from the receptionist coz the roll in the bathroom was halfway done. It was 4 of us . They said they didn’t have anymore bathroom tissues. ***!! Asked them what are we gonna use? Only answer was sorry but we ran out of BR tissues. I said I guess we don’t have a choice but to use all the towels in the room. That’s when the receptionist called housekeeping then sent us 2 rolls of BR tissues.

Gave me wrong room at first
Remote turned on TV in other room and I had to check with front desk if there was another...was just odd that it turned on other room TV instead of one I was standing In front of.
Remote was missing backing and batteries had to be held in by hand with help from tape they added
Had a jacuzzi but the bubbles didn't work
All good for it was a great bubble bath at least
Large spacious room great for those traveling with friends or family

Bright orange signs all around the main building stating unsafe for human use or habitation since October 2023. I was there Aril 6, 2024. No working smoke detector in the room. The pool was green from overgrown algae. The steps and second floor were not blocked off and it looked like people were staying in that area despite building inspector marking it unsafe. See photos. Do not pay before seeing the room. As of writing this review, I have not received a refund.

I am a Choice member and have stayed in many of their different brands and even some of the budget Econo Lodges but this one barely deserves to One rating I gave it. Looks suitable from the outside but every thing after that goes South. Start with the fact that the two ice machines were broken and unplugged so NO ice anywhere. Rooms was very dated with ceiling popcorn in the main room and bath flacking off and stained, vanity and sink had gouges everywhere, and the wall paint was marred. The bed frame on one side had 3 steel parts of the frames sticking out at least 4 inches past the box spring and mattress but covered by the bed spread. Guess how that feels when you walk bast the corner and draw blood. The TV would start but I could not get the remotes to work any further. Went to the front desk and the attendant said he would come to the room. He did but then had to reprogram both remotes to make it work himself. Thank God he knew the codes to reprogram it. The breakfast eggs and sausage were and no orange juice because someone forgot to order it. DO NOT read this review and think this reflects on any of the other Choice hotels. This is an outlier. I have written many good reviews on their other brands when I have stayed there. Maybe someone from corporate will visit this place and put them in line. Let’s hope so.

Next time I will read reviews more carefully. Dishonest Receptionist charged me $8 for "miscellaneous service" what I gess was bringing me second towel which was missing at the room. I paid extra for what supposed to be given free of charge. Check your invoices as it might happen to many travellers. It is not a big amount but it will add up. Also "Unsafe condition of stairs" warning posted at the entrance. Also rusted lamps. I would not stay at that hotel again. This is the second time I had a problem with billing with the hotel that belongs to "Choice Privilages". That chain hotels will not be my choice next time, unfortunately.

I’ve never written a review before so you know it must be bad. Upon arriving we walked into our room and right away there was a roach crawling on the floor. Went to the bathroom 2 more crawling on the floor. Hair on the sheets and a spider was actually building a web between the pillows. There was a dead cricket in the corner of the room that looked like it had been there a year. I can’t stress enough to stay away from this hote!!!

AVOID ! Cheap hotels do not have to be dirty, inadequately stocked, missing basic materials and condemned by the fire department. The place was a disaster. Ceiling falling. Filthy not cleaned well no coat hangers. Inadequate towels. Not even a roll to hold the TP. No Kleenex. There was a notice on the lobby door from the fire department citing safety issues. Yikes. Do not stay here.

Pros: No bed bugs Cheap Beds are comfortable Cons: Mold growing on ceiling in bathroom One of lamps didn’t work TV didn’t work Ice machine was dry NO TOWELS OR RAGS for TWO DAYS! Fridge was missing plastic shelves in the doors and our dresser drawers was broken. The pillows are comfy but also odd.. they are small and square shaped. If you look in them.. they are lumpy in appearance. The bath tub drain did not drain properly and held water. The night shift tenants were smoking **** the whole first night we were there. Also the floor was so dirty that walking barefoot from the shower to our beds turned our feet black! Eww gross 🤢 (Will spare you the feet picture)

The first room we got was reminded me of a musty cellar you don’t want to go into. There was dog hair all over the beds. The second room was cellar like as well but the pot smell was so bad that I had to leave the hotel for my families safety. Tried talking to manager who said he didn’t want to hear it and I could go online. So here it is. They also refused to give me back any of my money. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

I wish I had read these reviews before booking. Idk why it says they r closed. They SHOULD be closed. When I arrived the person that was supposed to be working the front desk was asleep in the lobby. The room was filthy. See pics. Note the color of the water in the bathtub. The smoke detector does not work. The popcorn and cookies dont exist. It is a homeless camp. I called Choice hotels but they wont do anything until AFTER I check out. It is a little late then. Not only will never stay here again, but if Choice doesn’t have higher standards than this, I won’t stay at any of their properties. As for management: don’t bother to reply with some kind of crap about improving. You have seen other reviews and it is the same old filth.

Checked in Friday evening, the woman at the counter was pleasant and accommodating, that was the highlight of our stay. Opening the door treated with musty smell, turning the air conditioner on I found an empty beer bottle (Budweiser Aluminum Bottle) closing the door found security latch busted off the door and the curtain partially hanging off the rod so I had to prop it up for us to be able to close it to sleep. Bathroom had a hole on the wall and found hair in the shower/tub. A used towel greeted us on the back of the bathroom door. The beds were made but that was the extent of the cleaning. The next morning after showering and walking 5 steps from bathroom to bed had to shower again and stand on a towel to avoid feet from turning black. Headed over to the breakfast in the lobby, coffee machine was broken and no eggs. When the woman at the counter was politely asked about eggs she rolled her eyes so hard I think she might have hurt herself (she was upset she had to put her phone down) being an older couple and not the screaming Karen type we immediately left and did what we do, write reviews and warn fellow travelers about our experiences.

The sign outside this motel says “Newest Hotel in town, free cookies and popcorn”. This actually is an old motel that is in desperate need to renovations although workers were working in the pool area. We had a King Suite room on the ground floor. The bed was comfortable and clean but as usual, the sofa cushions were dirty, the floor by the Jacuzzi tub had water damage so it made a lot of noise, the curtains had a lot of small holes, none of the plugs on the bedroom table lights worked and the weird thing – only TV was in bedroom, none in living room. Oh, and by the way, there were no cookies or popcorn. Haha! The breakfast was good and had a good variety and the staff was very friendly. There are fast food restaurants in walking distance. Don’t think we would stay here again.
