Homewood Suites by Hilton Bel Air

We had just stayed for 5 nights at the Homewood suites in wilmington north carolina and what a difference. The one in bel air is definitely older. Our room had a strong mildew odor that was very off putting. Even our dog didn't like the smell. This room didn't have a desk like the other one but it did have 2 TV remotes. The ottoman was leather and peeling as was the arm chair. Toilet lid was broken, I thought it was going to fall off every time I lifted the lid. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location close to all amenities. Broken glass in parking lot. This property could definitely use a face lift.

My family waited two days for fresh towels and wash clothes. Stayed a week housekeeping never came to tidy room or take out trash despite request. Rose was amazing she handled breakfast excellent serivce. Older gentleman in housekeeping was very nice and friendly as well

The pool was dirty and the hot tub was filthy also the breakfast wasn’t as expected there was no fruit and out of mostly everything

The room was clean and smelled nice, but there were rips in the couch and ottoman and part of the ceiling was coming apart. The worst part is how thin the ceiling/floors are. All night kids were running up and down the halls and another room had 2 or 3 dogs that they had left alone barking for hours during the day. In addition, a family of 4 got up early at 7 am and you could hear their whole convo and their morning singing routine. Did not get much sleep at this hotel.

The building is dirty, including the room, hallways and entrances and exits. All of the furniture in my room with the exception of the bed had rips, tears, and stains. The walls in my room were dirty, including the doors and it really needs to be painted. I reserved a roll in shower with a pulldown showerhead, unfortunately, the showerhead did not work. Half of the bathroom flooded when I turned the shower on. The only good thing about the room was the TV which looked new and the bed which was comfortable.

Never again. The room was okay. The hot tub was COLD and greenish in color. Asked the front desk about it and the lady had an attitude. I heard others asking as well the next day. They ended up closing the pool and the hot tub. We choose hotels based off them having both of these things, yet no apology. No offer to do anything about them being closed. Nothing. Oh and it took 15 minutes to actually get coffee during their free breakfast. Many items were out and it appeared there was one lady trying to do everything. So, the breakfast was not good either.

Room was very nice and spacious. Good complimentary breakfast. Kids enjoyed the pool area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only complaint was there were no washcloths, bath mat or hand towels, only bath towels the first night. Otherwise no issues!

The staff was poilte and attendance Loved their kindness. My room was upgraded ipon check in which was great. Wverything was clean in my suite. Thank you
