Overpriced for what it is, an older example from the chain, worn out and dirty, mould growing on the walls and ceilings in bathroom, large crack in sink, other peoples hair in the sink and all 'cleaned' flat surface and thread bare carpet. main corridors and stairs dirty with slamming fire doors.

What on earth has happened? I’ve stayed here numerous times and never seen the hotel this awful. Lacklustre staff when checking in for a start, followed by a very tired room in need of refurbishment! The bathroom fittings were very clean, but the walls and surroundings need attention, as does the carpet which was worn and needs a good clean! But my biggest concern was security. Parked in their designated car park you access through a gate, but yo my knowledge it’s always left open! Then as the pub/Beefeater has now closed, with the Premier Inn situated behind it, when I was dropped off at 10pm at the roadside by work colleagues, I’d have had to walk the egg tire length of a pitch black and deserted car park, when we spotted a dodgy looking man loitering- my colleagues were so concerned they drove in and actually walked my to my room! When we entered the lobby the reception was deserted. I had a sleepless night tbh, worrying about my safety, I felt extremely vulnerable and pushed a chair against the door! My room was tired and not very clean and the headboard had two greasy marks on, like imprints from people’s oily hair(!), so I didn’t go to bed, instead I slept sideways across the bottom of the bed- ridiculous, but there were no staff to speak to! Won’t be staying here again!

The restaurant closes randomly due to ‘lack of staff’. It is only open for Premier Inn guests anyway so this must be based on the number of guests checked in. No help to you if you travelling without a car. Why not warn guests in advance? The rooms are small and in need of repair. There is no aircon and why are the duvets c.20 tog?

This has to be the worst hotel I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. Where to start - dirty stained carpets, dirty stained chair, broken furniture, mould in the shower, hair from a previous guest left in the sink plug, Rusty shower fittings, filthy skirting boards the list goes on. Quite frankly I wouldn’t want to board my dog at this hotel. Couple that together with fact that it was utilising the services of an equally grotty beefeater which was covered cobwebs and the rear entrance patio was covered in bird faeces, you’d be better of spending the night at a bus shelter- disgusting !

Location was easy to find and quiet, staff helpful checking in, room was clean, breakfast was good, value was reasonable, bathroom looking tired, nothing Premier that's for sure

No air conditioning just a desk fan that does nothing. Terrible nights sleep compared to the other premier inn in Harlow with air conditioning and nice room decor ..

Staff pleasant, but aftercare with the customer relations team is appalling. Bed wasn't fit for sleep but doesn't come under the Good Night Guarantee because I didnt report it at 11pm at night with a vulnerable disabled child. Waking them to move them at that time would have caused disruption to the entire hotel as well as causing them anxiety, which would have resulted in no sleep either. Apparently checked the bed and it's fine. May as well have called me a liar, even though they have had a chance to rectify the issue.

I was greated by Hugh on reception, he has great customer service skills, really welcoming and has great attention for detail on the rooms and the overall stay. Had a few issues but He helped me right away, asset to your team.

I booked and paid for a Twin Room as I was travelling with my mother, but on arrival we were given a Double Room instead. After waiting around 40 minutes to check in and dealing with issues with the key machine, we finally reached our room after a long day of travelling only to find it was not the room we had booked. When we raised the issue, we were told there were no other rooms available and nothing could be done. My mother and I could not share a bed, which meant she was unable to get a proper night’s sleep. The receptionist acknowledged the mistake and provided details on how to request a full refund. However, when I contacted Premier Inn afterwards with my booking confirmation, the refund was treated only as a “gesture of goodwill” and was less than half the amount I paid for, despite the fact that the room I paid for was never provided. They also gave no way to escalate further. And even said their ‘Good Sleep Guarantee’ in this case was not applicable. Mistakes can happen, but the way this was handled and the lack of a fair resolution was extremely disappointing. I expected much better from Premier Inn.
