Have visited many Premier Inns in England, Scotland and Wales. Always go for Premier Plus rooms where available, they are often different in design. The one in Hastings North was clean and comfortable and the layout was good with a shelf, table and two comfy chairs. It had a comfortable bed. I was pleased to see a bath as well as a fixed and mobile shower head, one sees variations of this and sometimes no bath but what really irritated me was no non steam mirror in there, why not? The second thing that annoyed was the television volume was limited (walls too thin?). On some channels films are much quieter and you need to turn the sound up. There’s nothing wrong with my hearing but even sitting close to the TV, one couldn’t hear every word. The third thing was that the fridge simply didn’t keep the water in it and the wine we added cool enough. I have to say that the air conditioning worked well throughout our two day stay. Also praise is due for the staff (especially ‘Cuz’), who kept us supplied with coffee and chocolate. Free parking at the hotel is always a plus. From the hotel it was easy to get down to the coast and other south coast attractions. Also useful is a large Sainsbury’s with petrol station around the corner. Over all a pleasant stay but facilities could be better
