Based on the online pictures and the price, we decided to book our stay. Once we arrived, we noticed a lot of mosquitoes in our room. We killed at least 30 mosquitoes in the first 45 minutes upon arrival to the room. As we settled in, I left a bag of blueberry bagels and vitamins on the counter. When I woke up the next morning and entered the kitchen, I noticed a hole in the bagel bag and some loose vitamins missing from the counter. Upon further inspection, I noticed it was a bite in the bag - a big bite at that! It was caused by a rat based on the size of the bite. I immediately went to the front desk and showed them the bag. The front desk said they would have pest control come to the room and check availability for another room by that afternoon.
Pest control arrived and found a large hole in the wall beside the refrigerator. He confirmed it was created by a rat! They moved us to another room which was much nicer and had no mosquitoes or rats. We were very pleased with their quick action to remedy the inauspicious beginning of our vacation. After that, our stay at the hotel was fine. Most of the staff were friendly and accommodating. The pool and hot tub area were okay. We saw an onsite gym which we thought was a great amenity, but there was a separate fee to use it. That was a first and we thought it was ridiculous.
Overall this hotel is for budget-conscious travelers. There aren't any bells and whistles.
