Great location and a proper classic English pub. The staff are particularly friendly and welcoming, they made the stay very calm and relaxing.

Stayed their for the weekend great location top of the hill their is some ltd car parking at the rear lovely room breakfast was great very warm welcome would highly recommend.

2 night break, in a great location, with warm welcoming staff. The rooms are comfortable with everything you need. The food was lovely and the breakfast definitely sets you up for the day.

The staff were excellent, the room and bathroom very clean but the hotel needs to step up and to renovate and upgrade the rooms, also a small point but no tissues provided and a small bottle of water for the first night but not on the second night, and the food could be better

I can honestly say that the stay was unbelievable, the food , the drink , the service was second to none .
A massive thank you to Lucy , Peggy and Max they were unbelievable, such kind people it made our stay even better.
It was such a fabulous stay it was hard to say goodbye ..

Fabulous friendly staff and quiet room in peaceful village. Breakfast and evening meal cooked to perfection. Older building but very comfortable stay.

Definitely not an upscale hotel. However it is an authentic, historic inn complete with lovable characters, charm, and a perfect place to stay to fit perfectly in the setting of the moors and all the wonderful dry walls. Stumbling distance from several historic pubs.

I really enjoyed everything. For Americans, I'd say that the space is less than what we tend to be used to (unless from the Northeast), which is again, perfectly fine. The only think I'd probably recommend are more hooks to hang things (I always find this in lodging) and perhaps a washcloth in addition to towels.
