I made a booking on VRBO and was instantly confirmed. Shortly thereafter, I got a message from the host asking ME to cancel because they were charging three times as much on their own website. They gave no explanation. Of course, the actual reason was that this was the two days surrounding the eclipse and they realized they could charge three times the price. When I asked them to explain why I would cancel a booking that was already confirmed, they just unilaterally cancelled my reservation without explanation or apology. This, of course, is completely against VRBO policy. The lack of apology was absolutely shocking.
