Americas Best Value Inn-Heath/Newark

When checking in the man at the front desk very clearly had anger issues and kept muttering and swearing under his breath. He also asked me 3 to 4 times if I was alone, and as a woman teaveling by myself I was extremely uncomfortable. I reported him in the morning when checking out, and the woman I spoke to just made excuses about how rough his night was.

Floors in my room were filthy. Clearly not even broom swept, and certainly not mopped. Sheets were definitely not changed from last guest. A *lot* of hair, and sheets wrinkled. Bathroom faucet in need of repair. Kitchen and bath were clean. Front desk folks were very nice and muffins were ok. Huge potholes out front nearly wrecked my car.

We did not arrive until 3:00 a.m. in the morning from driving all day and all night. When I got there I had to call to get somebody to even come to the door waited a long time. When they finally came to the door they smelled of chemicals and was all over the place and very rude. I would not recommend anyone to stay here very unprofessional and not clear at all lobbies look like it needed a good cleaning and smelled very terrible of chemicals.

Parking lot had a lot of pot holes, holes in the walls from light fixture being replaced, laminate flooring separating in several spots, pillows were completely worn out, mattress was like sleeping on a park bench

So bad that we were only there for 30 mins and didn’t stay the night. There was a line at the check-in desk so we stood there for almost 30mins to actually get checked in. All guests 18+ need to provide their id at check-in which I wasn’t aware about. Then when we received our key cards we went to our room. The room was not like the photos and reviews at all. The pillows were flat, the sheets had stains, there was dust on every surface, and the cleaning cart was parked right in front of our door when we arrived. We let the staff know that the room did not meet our expectations and they just canceled our reservation and let me know that it was non-refundable.

Other than a few potholes in the entrance of the parking lot. The stay was economical and the staff was great.

The staff was rude and ******. Blatantly loud and talking about other races while tenants could hear them. The facility was absolutely filthy even after they "cleaned" the room. I don't know what they cleaned because the same stains and animal hair were there. I was very uncomfortable there. The only reason I completed the stay is because they have a "no refund" policy.

The riom was very cleab abd syurable,although our ket card would not work it took 3 trips to the office then the clerk came and open the door with m aster key

Very nice staff clean rooms. If your looking for a quite nice spot to stay this the one. DNT always believe bad reviews people get mad and lie cause they got caught doing bad.
