Alte Zigarrenmanufaktur - Boutique Hotel & Residences Heidelberg

We booked this for a short stop in Heidelberg after our flight from the US before further travel. We wanted to find accommodations that were more roomy than a standard hotel. What I didn’t realize when I booked the room was that it is not a full service hotel but rather more of a luxurious extended stay apartment ( in a beautifully refurbished former cigar factory!). And what a nice surprise: Gibreel contacted us ahead of time to inquire about any requests we’d have for stocking food; he greeted us promptly on arrival and was always available for help with anything we might need, day or night. He’d made a point not only to stock the fridge with our requested food, but to also make sure he left some freshly baked croissants from a local bakery! The 2 bedroom suite was modern, beautifully furnished, well equipped (full kitchen!) and perfectly maintained, in a very nice quiet neighborhood just about 1km from the Old Town. It’s a great apartment setup for anyone needing a room for an extended stay for business (great WiFi), medical or other reasons. A big thanks to Gibreel for making our stay so easy and comfortable!
