This is an old-school European hotel that has been run by the same family for years. In fact, they were walking around breakfast greeting guests who had been coming for years. Although the furnishings are more old-school the service is top notch. The front desk, bellman, servers - everyone was extremely helpful and cheerful. It was a 10-15 minute walk into the heart of the town and our room was quite comfortable - the sitting area was nice to have so we could relax a bit before dinner. Breakfast was a great buffet with fresh squeezed juices and cheeses, meats, eggs, pastries and yoghurts.

The hotel was a pleasant surprise in Heidelberg city, and I stayed only one night, but I would certainly stay more, because I was very well installed. The hotel is located in a building that worked in an old tobacco factory, and is completely renovated for the hotel's facilities, with large suites or lofts, very well decorated. They have washing machine, fully equipped kitchen with modern tools. Wi-Fi quickly. Floor with heating and large bathroom. Parking on the site, but are few vacuums. When I booked, I asked for a parking vague and I had no problems. The service was very good from who received us. There is no reception. When I arrived at the establishment, at the main door, there is an interphone. The guest attendant arrived in a few minutes and passed all the instructions needed. It is in a quiet and quiet neighborhood. It is not so close to the historic center, about 2.5 km. Better go by car and park in the various parking lots near the main attractions.

Luggage storage before check-in worked great and very courteous gentleman at the reception area. Telephone availability previously generated band, very ugly. Check-in itself was unfortunately rather sobering due to the change in staff. Also, immediately after check-in, a pushy bartender who wanted to mix cocktails for me. Unfortunately, that didn't go away when I went out to smoke and had to go through the ”lobby”. Hotel room unfortunately the stockiest of all, despite the most expensive costs on my trip. Huge TV, nice bed, great duvet, air conditioning, design equipment... but unfortunately completely impractical, so that there was not only space to unpack my suitcase and cosmetics in the bathroom. No, unfortunately the desk was so close to the bed that there were bruises when walking around. Big plus seen too late though. Kettle with instant coffee, milk and sugar/tea was available in the room.

It is convenient to arrive at the train station as soon as I leave the train station. Because I have a lot of luggage on hand, the front desk of the hotel gave me a room on the first floor to check in immediately. I can also wait for the room on the upper floor at 15:00. I prefer this arrangement, not every time. Bad room for China discount. Many choices are very magnanimous to treat each guest. Everyone at the front desk was so welcoming and the lady who received me was patient with everything I had. It's just that this room is a bit small, the room for two is only suitable for one person, I happen to be alone hehe😁

This hotel is in an historic building. The ceilings are high and our room was a deluxe double and very spacious. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a wide variety of foods--from fresh baked bread, to make your own waffles, to cheeses, eggs and other foods. The staff at the buffet was very helpful and lovely. The hotel is well located just a few blocks from the Alstadt (old city) and it was easy to walk everywhere from there. It's also right next to the bus/tram station. However, a few things you need to know before you book this hotel. 1) The reception desk is only staffed until early evening. 2) Housekeeping is sporadic. We were there for 6 nights and the room was only cleaned once. 3) There is no air conditioning. We had a fan in the room and opened the windows and it was bearable at night, but not super cool. On a very hot day or night this could really be an issue. 4) With the windows open, it is really noisy, particularly because the bus and tram station is right across the street. 5) There is no shampoo or conditioner provided--only hand soap at the sink and body soap in the shower. However, there's a drug store across the street where you can get what you need. 6) There are small sets of stairs that you may have to go up and down on the floor where the rooms are. If you have mobility issues, try to ask about this when you book so that you get a room where this won't be an issue. We had a very nice stay, but those are things I would have liked to know before I booked, so I thought I'd include them in a review.

The hotel was easy to reach from the Autobahn and there is enough parking space by the hotel. The parking is free and the rooms are nice, modern and big enough. The breakfast is OK and enough variety. We booked a second night, the staff is very nice and helpful. There is a tram nearby to get into town. We walked wich was a nice walk but far - therefor the old town is spread out a long woy. We took a ”lime scooter” back to the hotel - wich was fun - there a plenty room on the bikepathes. The hotel is nice and quited and the beds where good there I would recommend it. There is 24 hours check-in available.

We visited Heidelberg in juni 2022, and was originally only booked in at Qube hotel for 2 nights. As our travels to Heidelberg went alot smoother than expected, we called the hotel to see if we could book an extra night, so we had longer time to explore the City of Heidelberg. The guy i spoke to in the phone was very friendly and helpful, and spoke perfect english. He made a reservation for an extra night, in the same room as the following night. Check-in went smoothly, and the room was just perfect! As it was really hot when we visited Heidelbeg (+ 30 *C), we really appriciated the arcondition and the possibility to open af window. The room was very spacious, and so was the Bathroom. i think it is the first hotel i have stayed at, were it was possible to open the Bathroom window, which was really nice. We did not eat any meals at the hotel, but we visited the Bar a couple of times, and had the most fabulous cocktails. The Bartender( bar mamager) was very friendly! We had most of our cocktails at the Rooftop bar, and it was just perfect! Bahnstedt is a very unique area, and we enjoyed staying here. We would hihgly recommend this hotel for other guests.

We chose this hotel for its location and were able to explore Heidelberg solely on foot. The staff were helpful and courteous, both via email before our stay and during our stay. We booked the suite which gave us a bigger room and included a mini fridge. I did find the bed to be much harder than I'd like and would've liked more pillows but honestly I didn't request any. They probably would have gave us some. Room was clean.

On recommendation, I booked the wheelchair room for one night by phone. A hotel, a small room with a double bed, 40 cm left to windows & heaters and 40 cm right to the wall and a large bathroom, heavenly roll-friendly. Even if with the toilet roller inaccessible in the back but otherwise good. How to get to bed with the wheelchair? Find another hotel at 20:00 Sunday? The anger was buffled by a student's over-required late service, who then called the boss to ask the advice, simply push the beds out, exchange the big lake for 2x new. We then received beds. In the night I need support when moving, a double bed therefore actually no alternative. In fact, then 4 hours sleep with the nose on the heat body. My family and I stayed here for two nights. It is really value for money. 1. Location: It is not in central location. However, there is a tram station in front of the hotel. 2. Check-in & Check-out Since we arrived at around 8pm, the check-in was completed within 5 minutes. We just passed the keys at the reception during check-out. 3. Parking There is a paid-parking at the hotel. However, there are a few free parking spots in front of the hotel. Since it was full in front of the hotel, I parked in front of the B&B Hotel which is 10 minutes walking distance and it is free too. 4. Room The room is clean. Surprisingly, the room is air-conditioned. We did not expect this but it is really helpful during summer time now. 5. WiFi There is a free WiFi. However, the signal is not so strong at certain area of the room. 6. Foods There is an American foods restaurant in front of the hotel.

Ideales Hotel für eine Stadtbesichtigung von Heidelberg, da das Hotel mitten in der Altstadt liegt. Man kann mit dem Auto durch die Fußgängerzone vor das Hotel zum Entladen fahren (durch viele Touristen hindurch…); das Personal weist dann den Weg zum öffentlichen Parkhaus P12, das fußläufig nur wenige Minuten vom Hotel entfernt liegt. Das Zimmer war sehr schön eingerichtet und bot alles, was man für einen Kurzaufenthalt benötigt. Auch das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den Service des Hotels: ich habe das Aufladegerät für meine Zahnbürste vergessen und das Hotel hat mir dieses per Post nach Hause geschickt.

I think this is a Hotel that could be easily overlooked. It is on top of a parking garage. But once you take the elevator to the hotel it looks nothing like the dingy and grimy outside of the parking garage. It is most welcoming decorated. The hotel staff was very friendly and english is no problem (I wouldn't be surprised that even other languages are spoken by the staff). Our room was very clean and had a great view of the castle and some of the historic buildings surrounding the hotel. The breakfast had a great selection of German cold cuts, fruit, cheese and many other things. The close proximity to the middle of town and to the Funicular to the castle (and the Christmas markets) makes this a great pick. I will makes this my hotel of choice when I return to Heidelberg.

We were now for the third time in the Plaza and had the same room for the second time. What really annoyed me was our experience with check-in. Check-in is normal from 15:00. The same damages are still in the entire room as when we first stayed on April 23, although it was noted when we left. The hotel is located directly in the old town and it can be reached at foot. The next parking house is also reachable in three minutes. Telephone contact and also the reception is uncomplicated and very friendly. Our room, Katmandu, was very spacious under the roof, beautiful and with air conditioning. What is very practical because the central location of the night makes you have to count on noise and let it out with closed windows. The bathroom was small but sufficient and the washing area was outside the bathroom in the room. What did not disturb us but here, unfortunately, was a towel holder. Breakfast was ”Corona-related” enough and good! My recommendation not to book via hotel portals but contact the hotel directly.

I pass through Heidelberg a lot on business, and have only taken the time to stay overnight once before, partially because I haven't been too keen to stay in any of the hotels in the Old City. Most are kind of run-down and stuffy; some are quite expensive and stuffy. Villa Marstall is neither. The hotel is in a beautiful old villa right on the river with incredible views of the river, trees, rowers and other boats, and the looming green mountain and Philosopher's Way across the water. Views towards the city encompass old buildings, the churches, and the famous castle. You are a short walk from pretty much everything worth seeing, or doing, or eating, or drinking in this awesome little city. And even though the building is classic and old, the rooms are recently renovated and modern, leaving some nice period details, like exposed beams and brick in some places. They're furnished in a clean, white, simple style. The breakfast--which is not included in the price (understandable, given the reasonableness of their rates)--is good but not great. I think that when the hotel is busier, there is probably more selection. And in any event, the breakfast staff are very friendly and helpful. And all this comes at a very reasonable price tag; I would normally expect to spend 1.5x or 2x what I did for such a nice experience. Highly recommend this hotel, and I will definitely be back!

Unusual for a traditional German hotel, clean rooms are air-conditioned and accessible by elevator. Comfortable beds made for a great night's sleep. Wonderful breakfast included in price. Bar offers great food and astounding variety of spirits and cocktails. Car aficionados: take note of hood ornaments displayed in typically ”gemütlich” restaurant Stube. My family and I stayed here for two nights. It is really value for money. 1. Location: It is not in central location. However, there is a tram station in front of the hotel. 2. Check-in & Check-out Since we arrived at around 8pm, the check-in was completed within 5 minutes. We just passed the keys at the reception during check-out. 3. Parking There is a paid-parking at the hotel. However, there are a few free parking spots in front of the hotel. Since it was full in front of the hotel, I parked in front of the B&B Hotel which is 10 minutes walking distance and it is free too. 4. Room The room is clean. Surprisingly, the room is air-conditioned. We did not expect this but it is really helpful during summer time now. 5. WiFi There is a free WiFi. However, the signal is not so strong at certain area of the room. 6. Foods There is an American foods restaurant in front of the hotel.
