The online booking service was very straightforward and was completed in a matter of moments. On arrival at Travelodge Kendal we were welcomed by Abbey who was very friendly and helpful. She was also able to recommend places to eat; we selected one of the place and we enjoyed an excellent meal. The hotel was very clean and tidy. Our room had been recently refurbished and upgraded. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed a good night’s sleep. All in all, an excellent experience.

Great location from motorway and town centre, easy check-in with Stephen today, lovely clean room, everything in room you would need for an overnight stay. Large double bed, very comfortable. The only downside is no food available and possibly a small fridge for drinks.

We stayed one night. The rooms were very clean and well kept. The staff were friendly and very pleasant. The location was quite handy to visit Lake District and very peaceful and calm environment. Thank you

Nice room. Fairly new and clean. Staff were nice. Very handy for visit to the Lake district and Kendal. Nice hot water and a good shower. Car park fee was good value at £3 for 25 hrs. Close to Motorway too.

Very clean rooms and hotel in general. All the staff were fabulous and couldn’t be more helpful. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice , quiet link hotel for the Lake District.

Stayed here on several occasions, good price, very well maintained hotel, clean outside area, quiet, towels/ room cleaned daily, thank you cleaning staff, parking £3 p/24 hr, always remember to put parking receipt on car dashboard, part of terms/condition, 10 min drive to Kendal town centre, strange road layout back to this Travelodge, from Kendal, in that no U Turn, on dual carriageway, but just after Farm shop, take next left slip road, back under carriageway, and back to Travelodge, less than 5 mins, turn into Travelodge a bit sudden at Garage, on slip road entrance. Our room at back of Hotel, looking over farmland. This Travelodge should be as a gold standard for this Company, after our disasterous stay at Ramsgate Seafront Travelodge, July 2025.

I was woken up at 0700 am by banging and loud talking by two workers trying to fix an exit door. I then couldn’t get back to sleep with the traffic noise of the A591. I would advise you to insist a room at back of the hotel if you like to get some sleep and hope the would be more considerate about their guests.

Ideally placed for a few days away exploring the lakes. Well priced with clean rooms. The back of the hotel over looks the fields and on to the fells, and considering it was in a busy road the room was also surprisingly quiet. Parking was a little confusing but Shay was very helpful and explained the process clearly.

Shay is lovely, helpful person. He gave us recommendations of place to go and towns near kendal. He checked us in very quickly and was very welcoming. He is hardworking employee.The room was clean and cozy. We recommend staying here.

Great welcome from Shay, who was very helpful and informative. The refurbishment has been completed to a very good standard. Room was comfortable and clean. Personally I would prefer a room with a walk in shower rather than a shower over a bath. It may however be an option I didn’t see when booking. If not could this be an option in the future? Comfortable stay at an affordable price and at a convenient location.

When we arrived we were very friendly to Steven at the front desk, when i asked about food or a bar, he gave one word, blunt responses. He was very unapologetic about the fact the “breakfast to go” only has gluten containing items which my wife who has celiac disease was very disappointed by, also they do not offer refunds on this dreadful “breakfast box”. Ontop of that the reception was closed this morning when we were leaving so I couldnt get my £12 gluten boxes if i tried. There is no bar or restaurant here, only 2 gas stations to get some simple snacks from. Highly recommend going to a different hotel this one is only good if you need somewhere just to sleep. Room was nice and spacious with only freeview to keep you occupied. Also dont bring your own food as theres no fridge.
