What an excellent place to stay. We came for a family wedding and were made welcome throughput our stay. Hotel and staff were exceptional as was the castle! Food was put of this world, even for me who has coeliac so needs gluten free! Hotel shuttled us between the Vale and the Castle which was a God send for those wearing heels! We paid for a basic room, let me say there was nothing basic about it!! Huge comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom with a walk in shower, the usual tea, coffee, water etc, if this was basic I would never leave the higher grade rooms! Diolch yn fair iawn, thank you very much, it was a pleasure to be your guests.

Hotel was lovely, very comfortable bed. The shower wasn’t giving off hot water and when reported to reception there wasn’t so much as an apology, pretty disappointing when you’re paying good money, you expect better service

It was a nice stay.
The room was nice, buffet breakfast was excellent. The pool was fun.
The checking in part experience was disappointing. My staff member didn’t offer a smile or communication, we weren’t given a warm welcome. As it was my wife’s birthday stay I felt more could have been done.

I had booked the Vale because of the pool and spa facilities. However, the pool facilities which are included in the hotel stay are a bit dated and could do with some renovation. I ended up hardly using the facilities because of this.
The room itself was very nice, comfy and spacious. Could have done with a better clean of the floor as was lots of hair in the bathroom.
The staff were nice, but didn't make an effort to be overly friendly and welcoming.

Good facilities- gym in particular. But check in was slow (our booking not showing), resolved by lovely staff who seemed to be doing their best, but systems not efficient. Some decor tired and cleanliness lacking (eg dirty grout). Little things that could and should be sorted out. Serving staff in bar and at breakfast lovely and attentive

Noisy in the night, somebody was banging on the door at 4:30 am. Room and balcony not very clean. Stained carpet. Dated hotel, overpriced and overrated.

Great stay overall just for a couple of days relaxation. Room was spotless and huge very comfortable and clean great bathroom and views of the resort. Bar food was excellent if a little pricy but so delicious we ate in both nights! Breakfast however was disappointing both days food burnt or undercooked very fatty bacon and always cold. Limited selection of cereals and continental foods. Not appetising totally opposite to evening bar food and will not have breakfast here again! Staff quite friendly particularly reception but nar and restaurant staff look unhappy and would rather be elsewhere! Jacuzzi and steam room not great at all limited space to relax aerobics class booming far from a relaxing day at the pool so we went walking instead. Golf bar and staff much more welcoming.
