First impressions weren’t good. Nobody on reception and took a long time when the reception bell was pressed. Tried to charge me £175 for a £76 stay booked through ***********. Room looked impressive at first glance, four poster bed and jacuzzi bath but was tired, in need of a deep clean and general repair. Sealant around the bath was all mouldy and the bath was very deep and awkward to get in and out of. No good if you had any mobility issues. The bathroom decor was very odd and didn’t match the room. Huge sink but no shelf for storage, square taps and fixtures falling off the wall. Mattress was lumpy and broken, pillows hard so not a great night sleep. In the morning, the shower had no hot water and when I raised this, no apology given only told there was plenty of water available. Breakfast was disappointing. Limited options and had to ask for knives and plates for toast. Would not recommend.

Yvonne was very accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, the Manor House was full of character with a good mix of character furniture and new with lovely grounds and terrace to sit enjoy the peaceful location, the Manor House was clean and welcoming with a fabulous spacious area to sit relax and enjoy the garden views at breakfast which is buffet style and a fantastic selection of freshly cooked breakfast, fruit, cereal, yogurt, jams, cakes, juices and lovely coffee and also a selection of teas. The bar and restaurant are currently not open, this was not a problem to us as there are plenty of local eateries within in the area if you prepare in advance. We enjoyed our stay at this period Manor House and have already shared our experience with family and friends and we will definitely return in the future, thank you Yvonne for your hospitality.

On arrival the reception is freezing and there is a little bell to ring for attention but nevertheless it was clean and festive. Our room was lovely and big a little dated with the odd light bulb out but the bed was super comfy and lovely and warm and clean. Breakfast was wonderful, hot and fresh and plenty of choice. The owner made the stay for us. She cannot do enough for you. Making sure your ok. Making your toast for you. Giving you a bigger cup as the ones were too small. Just really nice attentive service. She said the Hotel was the former home of the Duke of Norfolk many years ago. Although the property could be perceived to be dated I would say its antique, friendly, warm and clean and deserves far more recognition. Thank you for a lovely stay.

My partner and I spent 3 nights here to relax before attending a wedding at the weekend somewhere else locally. This venue is lovely in the countryside with beautiful grounds. The staff were so lovely they even gave us a free upgrade due to mobility issues my boyfriend has which was so kind of them! Our room was perfect and the bath was amazing after a long day exploring Hereford. Breakfast was delicious - especially the sausages and when we had to leave early on Saturday morning they even made us bacon sandwiches to take with us! I'd recommend Munstone House to stay to anyone wanting somewhere peaceful and very comfortable to stay. Thank you!

A dated and dusty guesthouse in need of complete renovation. My bedroom was shabby with only a large bath in the en-suite and no shower. No food or drink is available in the evening and breakfast was average. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and I slept well.

Hotel seems abandoned. Nobody was there so we rang the number on the sign. No answer. Rang the number on Google. No answer. Saw another sign with a different number on - finally, an answer! We were at a wedding all day so asked if we could pick up the keys around 11pm. They said yes, someone will be there for us. We got back at 11:30 to find a random pair of keys on the desk with no note. Tried ringing all 3 numbers from earlier but no answer from any. Found our room ourselves with great difficulty. Next morning we awoke to see how bad the room actually was. There was a hole in the grubby bath, the beds springs were broken (explains bad nights sleep) and there was no shower or hot water?! The whole hotel itself just needs demolishing and rebuilding. There is no refurbishing this place. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Pay a little more and go for a Travelodge in town. Disgusting service and amenities.

I booked this hotel well in advance (4 months prior) and recommended it to friends as we were attending a wedding. One week prior to our stay a lady called with little remorse to tell me that she’s cancelling my reservation due to ongoing renovation work. She had the cheek to say she’d called with plenty of time to find alternative arrangements as well. I have seen similar reviews littered about the internet regarding this hotel, do not rely on this establishment.

We made a reservation in February for a wedding in June and they cancelled a week before the big day. We called the week before to check the booking and they said everything was fine. You're better off camping in a field.

Appeared to be one old lady in charge and after my friend check in went to tell her he had a faulty lock and after ringing the bell no staff appeared. Feeling frustrated he left and when I rang next day to ask for his money back the answer I got was he did not check out. How could he when the lady admitted to me she left the building which goes against all health and safety rules. Surely if a guest checked in and you never saw him that evening or at beak fast you would check his room to see that he had not taken ill. I
