From Ronel at front reception to the porters to the stunning clean and extremely well maintained huge apartment to easy access to the great shops to the lovely welcome and attention from Werner and his wife offering unbelievable hospitality with attention to the smallest detail. We felt like royalty

Absolutely lovely stay. An unusual hotel positioned within a small shopping mall, all of the hotel is located on the 1st floor with shops below. But it’s shut at night so no issues with noise. The room was 2 storey and massive. Was handy to come back after a meal out and be able to grab a bottle of wine to take back to our room to enjoy the view from our balcony. Breakfast was lovely, full English plus continental. Staff were lovely and underground secure parking was available. Location was perfect, a short walk down to the bars and restaurants on the seafront, where you could watch whales from the shore. A free lido is available at the seafront too!

We stayed in Hermanus for a couple of nights. The hotel is accessed by elevator on the second floor of a shopping center. It was convenient in location which is close to the water, shopping, art galleries and restaurants. We had a 4 bedroom apartment that was 2 levels. It had a nice kitchen, dining room, balcony patio, living room and en suites for 2 bedrooms. The access to parking was a private parking area which utilized a key fob behind a gate. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Gift was very helpful with our luggage and guiding us to the parking garage. The cleaning staff were very nice. The property managers were also exceedingly helpful. There was an included breakfast which was nice. The shopping mall below had a grocery store, liquor store, and other shops which was convenient after driving there from Cape Town. We enjoyed the rooms, the town and the sights. Parking was convenient and many things were easily within walking distance. I’d love to stay here again.

3 bed unit Spacious ; well equipped. Has a balcony with a braai unit installed. Very clean and well serviced. Crisp white comfortable beds. Breakfast was tasty. Front desk assistant Ronel was friendly ; welcoming and really helpful . Great stay.

Apartment was a nice size and looked beautiful on arrival, very clean but very cold. Very limited cooking utensils and trays to cook on. Had to ask three times for cutlery as not enough for us all to eat together. Hot water ran out after one person showered - probably 10 mins, we were told the hot water system here works like a kettle you have wait for it to reboil so leave 30 min between showers - there’s 6 of us!!. Both complaints were made at 930am at 2115 we were offered a change of room!! Breakfast was awful, beef sausage was served raw on telling manager I was told it would be taken off bill 😂 it was a package holiday already paid for. all the breakfasts had to be pre ordered the night before and everyone was served the wrong items and it was cold. We were made to feel very unwelcome at breakfast on arrival, staff were lovely but management didn’t want to know. We booked through independent travel rep who I sent complaints too, they had email confirming everything was now sorted - this was a lie, at this time no one had been to see us. We decided to go out and buy what we needed for the rest of our time at the hotel. Luckily we were only booked in for 3 nights. Also scheduled power cuts were at inconvenient times between 1830 till 2030 but again we were not pre warned and had a slip of paper put through the door after the power had gone out. This hotel is not a luxury it’s a basic apartment where you need to supply your own essentials. Surrounding areas were beautiful and welcoming. Very local to everything to have an enjoyable stay and local shops under the hotel made buying food and essential items easier

Very nice at this hotel, but slowly they shall have to think about an upgrade. the things that were great at the unit was the bedding and the kitchen with its utentils. In our bathroom , the plug for the washbasin did not work and in our bedroom , the bedside lights did not work. The remote for the TV was also absent. I just felt that for a 4-star hotel, these things should be in order. Then please take care of your personal belongings. I left one of my jackets in the cupboard and it is now lost. They could not found it. The braai was also not cleaned and I had to go and buy my own grid because the one supplied was very dirty.

We will be back to stay at the Whale Coast All-Suite Hotel in Hermanus! The hotel is very centrally located within short walking distance from the Old Harbour, sea and assorted beach front restaurants and coffee shops. The Whale Coast All-Suite Hotel Hermanus is located on top of a shopping center that gives you direct access to a Checkers, Checkers Liquor, Clicks and many more stores to choose from. Secure parking for the hotel is provided in the basement of the building with additional partitioning separating the shopping center parking from the apartment parking, providing more security. Access cards are provided for the free secure parking, basement beams and the apartments. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi, hotel bouquet DSTV and daily room cleaning services. Delicious breakfasts (hot and cold) are also served to clients by very friendly staff every morning with an assortment of juices, tea and coffees to choose from. Apartment 15 is spacious and comfortable with 3 x bedrooms and 2 x bathrooms on the 2nd floor and a wheelchair-friendly 4th room on the bottom floor with its own bathroom. The mattresses, duvets and cushions were all very comfortable. This apartment also gives you a partial sea-view and an outdoor braai with seating area. The kitchen has a gas stove, large fridge and dishwasher and enough cupboards for longer stays. Danielle and Louise are extremely accommodating and helpful and will make you feel right at home. The location, facilities & staff of the Whale Coast All-Suites Hotel makes this a venue we will definitely re-visit soon.

Unfortunately whilst staying at the hotel I had an accident but the staff were amazing even took me to the hospital and helped with the discussion with the doctors. The apartment was so big and spacious. Ok the view over the car park wasn’t the best but beyond it the view was great. So close to bars and restaurants and to the lovely coastal walk.

What a beautiful place to visit, the place was super clean the staff was super friendly the breakfast was amazing and very convenient the shops are just downstairs ,i would recommend the place 100% and i will definitely come back.

This is a first class hotel in a strange location about a supermarket but don’t be put off. Everything this at your fingertips and quality accommodation I just wish I’d found it on previous visits to Hermanus and will stay again. Perfect thank you.

On our tour of the western Cape, we chose to spend 4 nights in Hermanus in this centrally located hotel. Very convenient to all amenities with excellent parking arrangements. Lovely staff, very helpful and especially friendly. Large room was very comfortable and sleep was easy. Excellent breakfast and advice on restaurants. Satisfaction should not have been a surprise - sister establishment to the Kruger Riverside Lodge where we stayed earlier in the holiday. The hotel is very nice. It’s clear that the apartments are quite new and very well maintained. Unfortunately we only spent there a night and we did not use much of the structure. You have the feeling of being in an extremely safe environment. The only negative point is that upon our arrival, the apartment was extremely cold and difficult to warm up.

We were a family of 8 including 3 children.. staying at the hotel for 2 nights. The hotel location is perfect and few only meters away from the waterfront. There’s a checkers and click right below the hotel which is very convenient if you need to grab some food or necessities. The only issue we had with the hotel was with the service that we were offered and the way the management handled it. We arrived in the hotel around 6 PM and by the time we settled ourselves and ordered some food, the power went out at 8 PM. I informed Danie (WhatsApp) at the reception about the power cut, who said it’s load shedding and was very casual about. We were not informed about this at check in time nor after that. We had kids with us so it got difficult for us to manage. Apparently the load shedding was daily for 2 hours and we were not informed about it. The following day upon checking with danie again regarding the power cut he said he didn’t know the load shedding time, however one hour before the power cut we were sent a note in the room about the timing of the load shedding, which we had missed seeing. We had two rooms, but the note came to one room only, and it was missed. He could have easily sent a message via WhatsApp as that is how we were communicating since the reception is quite away from the rooms. We were really upset as we didn’t know this would happen again. Overall this experience was not good. Danie was helpless. The following day the manager came to us and offered breakfast, however it was too late and just after 9 AM, we were already done with our breakfast. We were not given any compensation on our stay, however they did say we can stay a night extra for free but obviously we had our onward plan booked. This handling of the situation didn’t go down well with us, but the hotel for stay in the centre of Hermanus is perfect. Just remember there’s no generator and there’s power cut for 2 hours everyday.
