Had a splendid 2 night stay and wish we could have stayed longer. The staff made us feel so welcome. They are exceptionally polite and well informed on the surrounding area. We were provided with a map full of helpful suggestions, and a thorough introduction to the lodge and all it's facilities upon check-in. The lodge is located right next to Hermanus New Harbour and a few steps from the cliff path, which is well worth the walk. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. It opens onto a beautiful, well maintained garden area but a few steps from the pool. Breakfast was fantastic (reccommend the Full English!), and a lovely selection of breads, cereals, fruits, cold meats, yogurts etc at the buffet. Truly, no complaints. Would absolutely stay again.

Arrival from Cape Town was very straightforward, secure parking at the back of the property. Elizma the host could not have been more helpful, she messaged before we were due to arrive to ask if we would like a dinner reservation and a whale watching boat trip. Both were fantastic. Breakfast was probably about the best ever, we are both vegetarian, Elizma cooked and baked the most amazing variety and quantity. Room was very large, comfortable and with a good shower, lovely outdoor space. Easy and beautiful walk into the town, loads to see and do. We walked the full length of the cliff path and were lucky enough to see whales from the shore. Plenty of restaurants and cafes. Thank you for a truly wonderful 3 night stay.

I liked Baleia. Friendly staff and check-in, even when we were a bit late. Rooms were big and had everything needed. Location and breakfast were good. The only downside is that they seem to have run out of hot water due to a big group staying there. Considering the price, not having hot water was not great, imo. Hopefully this won’t be an issue for other guests in the future.

We loved our stay. Feels almost like home. Just a few minor things like either no or bad dstv signal for our whole stay. Couldn't even watch 10minutes of anything. It was reported but could not be sorted out. Cleaning checks should be done. Place was clean but not done very well. Parking great. Loved that the shops is so close. Almost everything within walking distance. Maybe a welcome pack explaining ins and outs of the place could be placed in the apartment.

The Sixteen Guesthouse on Main was a lovely property, with 5 fully equipped suites, including a small living room, large bedroom and fully stocked bathroom with shower and tub. The property included large double doors to increase airflow, an exit to the pool with lounge chairs, and chairs directly outside each room. It was easy walking distance to downtown Hermanus either via Main Street (approximately a 10 min walk) or via the ocean road (approximately a 20 minute walk). Anel was a lovely host and provided great restaurant and tour recommendation. I would highly recommend this laid-back guesthouse to anyone traveling through Hermanus.

When staying in Hermanus we look no further than the Boutique Guest House. Mariane has a great team who deliver consistent and friendly service at all times. We loved the complimentary wine early evening in the stylish lounge and the buffet breakfast choice was excellent plus hot food cooked to order.Only ten minute walk to shops and restaurants and Ficks Pool across the road is so handy for lunch or evening drink and snack. Thanks to the team for a brilliant and relaxing 6 days for the four of us
