"After a great stay at the Kuaian Hotel by the rice paddies, I decided to check out the Kuaian Nachiura store, which I'd been eyeing for a while. It was about a ten-minute walk with my luggage, and the hotel was right by the road, with cherry blossoms in full bloom. My room had a fantastic ocean view, and I could even see Bentenjima island from my balcony. I managed to catch the sunset on the beach, which was wonderfully quiet and peaceful – I loved it. In the evening, I enjoyed another relaxing hot spring bath. For breakfast the next day, we had a reservation for 8:15 AM, but I woke up early to catch the sunrise and thought we might be able to eat earlier. To my surprise, we were politely turned away and told to stick to our reservation time (it turns out breakfast is quite a formal affair!). We realized we were a bit too casual and were heading back to our room to wait when the friendly elderly gentleman at reception called us back and found us a table. We had a beautiful view of a corner of Bentenjima island while enjoying a very formal breakfast. It was a wonderful experience overall."

"The hotel's location is superb. From the room and the hot spring, you can see Hangqiao Rock. Soaking in the hot spring while watching the sunrise over the Pacific in the morning, and enjoying the starry sky at night, was a truly wonderful experience. The hotel's breakfast and dinner were of good quality, and they provided a shuttle service to and from the train station. My only dissatisfaction was that the Ctrip confirmation stated that all three meals were included, but the hotel only provided two, which didn't match my Ctrip order."

"The hotel is conveniently located right behind the Hashiguiiwa Rocks. Upon entering, the vibe, scent, and lighting create a welcoming atmosphere, complemented by friendly staff. The design is minimal yet cozy, with a keen attention to detail; every spot is perfect for photography with great lighting. There's also a snack bar offering unlimited coffee and tea during your stay—definitely a highlight, as their coffee is excellent. The common area is situated in a spacious and comfortable lobby. If you have some time, be sure to grab a coffee from the snack bar and relax in the lobby; it's definitely a great place to recharge. Our room matched the photos perfectly, featuring a Scandinavian design that felt very cozy. The space was ample for two people with two large pieces of luggage. The bed was incredibly comfortable, contributing to a quiet overall environment that allowed us to enjoy a great night's sleep. We opted for a room with a sea view, and the scenery was breathtaking as soon as we entered. Kushimoto is known as one of the top 100 sunrise spots, but unfortunately, the morning was shrouded in heavy clouds, preventing us from witnessing the sunrise."

"We arrived in Kii-Katsuura by express train from Shirahama in just under 2 hours in the morning. After getting off the train, we stored our luggage at the station (¥800/locker) and immediately took a sightseeing bus to Nachisan (¥630). We visited the grand waterfall, had a bowl of udon noodles by the street (¥600), and then hiked up to visit the Three-Storied Pagoda. After descending, we took the bus back to the JR station. Dragging our luggage, we walked for 7 minutes to catch the hotel's boat to the island (boats depart every 20 minutes after 3:10 PM). Check-in at the hotel was done via machine. We stayed at the Sankan building. On the way, we walked past the cave onsen with our luggage and took the elevator straight up to the 32nd floor, where we had a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean. After all the hiking, we changed, grabbed our towels, and enjoyed the cave onsen♨️. Before our 6 PM dinner reservation, we rushed to the Noroshibashi Tunnel on the 33rd floor to catch the sunset. Dinner was a semi-buffet with a wide variety of delicious options😋. The next morning, we put on all our clothes at 5:30 AM to capture the sunrise. After breakfast and a short rest, we took the large escalator downstairs, stored our luggage (free of charge), and at 9:20 AM, we took the boat back to the pier. We checked out the fish market and then headed to the bus stop. A new day of travel had begun…"

"Taoya Nachikatsuura is a refurbished property with excellent rooms and a great location, making it a VERY comfortable and convenient stay overall. Nice touch with the selection of yukata in chic designs—it adds a bit of personality to the experience. The hotel also offers free-flow alcohol and small bites throughout the day, you need to be careful not to over drink or overeat. Both the dinner and breakfast buffets stand out, offering a wide variety of options with solid quality across the board. That said, the in-room outdoor bath (our booking) felt unnecessary. In our view, it’s not worth the extra cost, as it doesn’t come close to the full experience of the main onsen downstairs."

"It took quite a while to get there by train from the outskirts of Osaka, but there was nothing around the hotel, so it was nice to be able to relax inside the hotel. The buffet was the best, of course. The hot spring was also very clean. I also enjoyed the manga corner and the table tennis corner. I didn't do any sightseeing, just enjoyed the hotel, but I was satisfied. I'd definitely like to go again."

We booked a sea-view room, which was spacious, and we loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves. A highlight for us was the pre-booked breakfast and dinner at the hotel; they were fresh, delicious, and exquisitely prepared, with no repetition over our two-day stay. The staff at the tourist information center next to the station also provided exceptional service. They meticulously marked train schedules and maps with colored pens and even helped us look up the tidal times."
