Reviews of Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island

Two things I could not understand: 1) why Sonesta has a room for accepting pets but have carpet on the floor instead of hardwwod or ceramic tile. We entered our room with a pee spot on carpet floor right at the entrance. We communicated that to reception but they found that to be normal. We didn't understand that. Well, we're not coming back. 2) How can Sonesta call itself "pet-friendly hotel"if they charged us $200.00 for pet fee for two nights (we found that to be ridiculous and they should not advertise themselves as pet friendly but only as "we accept pets" because the fee is 10 times higher at Sonesta than at Best Western.
