Awesome isolated hotel high in the mountains. Don't worry about the weird exterior, inside it is great. Very cozy. Good breakfast. Dinner buffe did not match the hotel

My stay at this hotel couldn't have gone better. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The location was out of this world. The views out our hotel window were world class. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Nature is King in the northwest regions of Norway. Anywhere from Stadt to to Kristiansund is an adventure not to be missed. On our last night out west, we landed at Hotel Videseter, a place with a history in addition to a view. Situated on a mountain shelf high up above the Hjelle valley, its position is unique and not to be bypassed. We were given a room on the second floor, overlooking the mountainsides with their multiple waterfalls, snow clad mountains all around us and in the distance, a newly refurbished bathroom and comfortable beds. The entire wall was a door/window, but we were careful not to step outside; the drop would end our trip rather abruptly. What an experience! Our landlord was gracious and knowledgeable, to restaurant was simple, but adequate both for dinner and breakfast. Only prices matched the grandeur of the surroundings …

This place is amazing would recommend. Lovely staff that welcomed us, right at the start of season. Gave us recommendations where to visit. Place has free wifi and good phone signal anyway. Food is great and about the same prices as the rest of the Norwegian restaurants. Hotel is quite high up the mountains, great views from window. Free car park. Great shower. Comfortable and warm rooms. Everything there we needed, thank you.
